Using the Controls
Using the LINE OUT jack
(Using with a guitar amplifier or powered speaker, etc.)
1.
Use a standard phone plug cable to connect the Silent Guitar’s LINE OUT jack to the input jack on the
guitar amplifier or powered speaker, etc.
When the cable’s plug is inserted into the LINE OUT jack, power will be supplied to the Silent Guitar
and the power lamp will light.
Before making any connections, make sure that the output volume on the guitar amplifier or pow-
ered speaker, etc., is turned down or its power is switched OFF.
When the guitar is not being used, disconnect the cable’s plug to save battery.
2.
Rotate the VOLUME knob while playing, and adjust the volume to a suitable level.
If the sound is distorted when playing vigorously, turn the VOLUME knob slightly to the left.
3.
Rotate the BASS and TREBLE control knobs to adjust the sound quality.
Rotate the BASS knob to the right to increase the low frequencies, and to the left to decrease the low
frequencies.
Rotate the TREBLE knob to the right to increase the high frequencies, and to the left to decrease the
high frequencies.
4.
You can add different effects to the guitar’s tone using the EFFECT function.
OFF .................Disengages the effect function. Only the original non-processed guitar sound is heard.
REV1 ...............Adds reverb similar to what you would normally experience in a room.
REV2 ...............Adds reverb similar to what you would normally experience in a hall.
CHORUS.........The chorus effect makes it sound as if two guitars are being played.
ECHO ..............Adds an echo effect to the guitar’s sound.
Power consumption is slightly lower when the EFFECT switch is set to the “OFF” position compared
to the other EFFECT setting positions.
Noise may be produced when changing the setting with the EFFECT switch.
A time lag may occur when switching to another effect causing a delay until the next effect is produced.
Using the stereo earphones
(or stereo output to an external device)
When using the instrument with the supplied stereo earphones or a separately purchased pair of
headphones, or when you want to send the instrument’s stereo output to an external device, use
the headphones (PHONES) jack for connecting the earphones or external device.
1.
Set the headphones ON/OFF switch, located on the right side of the control panel, to its “ON” position
to supply power to the Silent Guitar. The power lamp will light.
When using the LINE OUT jack, audio output is delivered to the headphones jack regardless of the
headphones ON/OFF switch position.
When the power is
