Las unidades DME64N/DME24N/DME8i-C/DME8o-C/DME4io-C y SP2060, combinadas con el software DME Designer, le permiten montar un sistema de sonido personalizado que puede admitir una increíble variedad de condiciones.
Conceptos básicos Red de sistemas de audio DME En un sistema de audio que incluye una o más unidades DME y/o unidades SP206, el "espacio de control" se organiza de forma lógica a través de los conceptos de "área", "zona" y "grupo de dispositivos". El espacio que cubren los sistemas completos es un "área", mientras que los espacios sónicos independientes de dicha área se denominan "zona". Capítulo 1 Antes de la utilización Instalación de DME Designer Para poder conectar el software del DME Designer a la unidad DME o SP2060, antes debe instalar el controlador USB MIDI o el controlador de red DME-N, en función de cómo se vaya a conectar, y a continuación realizar los ajustes necesarios. Una zona es un plan más concreto que incluye al menos una unidad DME o SP2060. Muestra las conexiones de DME con otros dispositivos y el cableado entre ellos. Se pueden crear varias zonas. Las unidades DME y SP2060 y los dispositivos conectados se organizan en cada ventana de zona creando configuraciones.
Capítulo 2 Descripción general de DME Designer ■ Ventana Navigator Esta ventana muestra el área, las zonas, las configuraciones y los componentes de forma jerárquica para que pueda comprobar su estado de forma global. Cuando edite en modo fuera de línea, puede hacer clic en el nombre de un área, una zona o una configuración para activar esa ventana. Al hacer clic en el nombre de un componente, se abre la ventana de edición correspondiente a ese componente.
Capítulo 2 Descripción general de DME Designer Funcionamiento de las ventanas El funcionamiento de todas las ventanas es el mismo que el de las aplicaciones normales de Windows. Las ventanas se controlan mediante los botones [Minimize] (minimizar), [Maximize/Restore] (maximizar/restablecer) y [Close] (cerrar) situados en la esquina superior derecha de la barra de título. DME Designer se cierra haciendo clic en el botón [Close] de la ventana del panel principal.
Capítulo 2 Descripción general de DME Designer Inicio de sesión El cuadro de diálogo de inicio de sesión aparece cada vez que se inicia la aplicación o que un usuario cierra sesión. Cuando ya está conectado un usuario, ya no puede iniciar sesión otro usuario. Para iniciar sesión como un usuario distinto, es necesario en primer lugar cerrar la sesión del usuario conectado. NOTA Si está activada la función de inicio de sesión automático, el cuadro de diálogo no aparecerá cuando se inicie la aplicación.
Capítulo 2 Descripción general de DME Designer Cierre de sesión El cierre de sesión se utiliza para cambiar usuarios. Al cerrar sesión, el documento que se está editando en ese momento se cierra y aparece el cuadro de diálogo de inicio de sesión para que el siguiente usuario pueda iniciarla. Cierre sesión con el comando [Log Off] del menú [File] situado en la ventana del panel principal. 1 Haga clic en el menú [File] ➞ comando [Log Off] de la ventana del panel principal.

Capítulo 2 Descripción general de DME Designer Guardar archivos de proyecto Los archivos de proyecto se guardan a través del menú [File] → comandos [Save] (guardar) y [Save As] (guardar como) de la ventana del panel principal. El comando [Save] sustituye la versión previamente guardada del archivo. Con el comando [Save As] puede asignar un nombre nuevo al archivo antes de guardarlo. Cuando guarda el archivo con un nombre nuevo, puede protegerlo mediante una contraseña.

Al guardar archivos de proyecto incluidos archivos Wave configurados para Wav File Player, seleccione “Project File with wave (*.daf)” (archivos de proyecto con wave). De lo contrario, seleccione “Project File (*.daf)”. 8 [Security] (seguridad) Protege los archivos con una contraseña.

Si se ha configurado una contraseña, se solicitará un ID y una contraseña cuando se abra el archivo. Los ajustes de seguridad de un archivo no se pueden cambiar volviendo a guardarlo con el mismo nombre. Sólo se pueden cambiar si se guarda el archivo con un nombre distinto mediante el comando [Save As].
Capítulo 2 Descripción general de DME Designer Abrir archivos de proyecto Los archivos de proyecto se abren a través del menú [File] → comando [Open] de la ventana del panel principal. Puesto que el archivo que se encuentra abierto en ese momento debe cerrarse para poder abrir uno nuevo, aparece el cuadro de diálogo con el mensaje “Project file has been modified. Save?” (El archivo de proyecto ha cambiado. ¿Guardar?).
Capítulo 2 Descripción general de DME Designer ■ Abrir un archivo de proyecto con la seguridad configurada Si se ha configurado la seguridad para un proyecto, el cuadro de diálogo “Enter ID & Password” (introducir el ID y la contraseña) aparecerá al hacer clic en el botón [Open] del cuadro de diálogo “Open”. Introduzca el ID y la contraseña del archivo en los cuadros correspondientes y haga clic en el botón [OK].

Si no se ha iniciado DME Designer, se iniciará en este momento. Después de iniciar la sesión, el archivo de proyecto se abrirá. Al igual que con el comando [Open], si ya se ha iniciado DME Designer, el archivo abierto en ese momento debe cerrarse para que se pueda abrir otro.

Puesto que los archivos de proyectos son necesarios para permitir la sincronización de las unidades DME y SP2060, le recomendamos que guarde sus archivos de proyecto en la unidad DME para obtener una fiabilidad mejorada.

Aquí se graban y se muestran los eventos de la unidad DME. Si el cuadro de diálogo se abre estando en línea, el registro de eventos se obtiene y se muestra automáticamente en forma de lista en la ventana Event Logger. Los eventos se muestran en tiempo real mientras la ventana permanezca abierta estando en línea.

Capítulo 3 Ventana del panel principal Fade Time (tiempo de fundido) Define el tiempo de fundido: es decir, el tiempo que tardarán los parámetros de fader en alcanzar los nuevos ajustes al recuperar una escena. Los cambios son uniformes y continuos. Si sólo se establecen los preajustes de la escena cuando la misma se recupera, el volumen se ajustará mientras sigue reproduciéndose el sonido de la escena anterior, hasta que se alcance el nuevo nivel.

El botón aparecerá difuminado y no se puede utilizar si la unidad DME está en línea o cuando se está utilizando un ajuste predefinido de SP2060. Si los parámetros predeterminados incluidos en una escena no se utilizan en otra escena, aparecerá el mensaje “Delete preset?” (¿borrar preajuste?). Si no necesita los parámetros predeterminados, haga clic en el botón [OK].

Si desea que se lean todos los componentes, no es necesario realizar ajustes en el cuadro de diálogo “Recall Safe”. “Recall Safe” se utiliza cuando se quieren mantener los ajustes actuales de algunos componentes, mientras que existen otros componentes que se desea cambiar conforme a la escena.

Los controles que se crean se denominan “controles de usuario”. Los controles de usuario creados se muestran en [View] (ver) → submenú [User Control] (control de usuario) de la ventana del panel principal.

Haciendo clic aquí, se pueden seleccionar los caracteres del nombre, lo que permite cambiarlo. ■ Security Level (nivel de seguridad) Muestra el nivel de seguridad establecido para cada control de usuario. Si se hace clic aquí, aparece una lista en la que se puede modificar el nivel de seguridad. ■ User (usuario) Muestra el nombre del usuario especificado en User Control.

Capítulo 3 Ventana del panel principal Enlace de parámetros Acerca de los enlaces de parámetros Puede agrupar parámetros del mismo tipo y enlazarlos. Esos grupos se denominan “enlaces de parámetros”. Cuando se cambia uno de los parámetros de un grupo, los demás parámetros del grupo cambiarán de la misma manera. Existen tres tipos de enlaces de parámetros: globales, locales y de componente. Los enlaces globales enlazan los parámetros de las unidades DME de un grupo de dispositivos.

Cuando se selecciona el nombre de un grupo de enlaces de parámetros, se seleccionan los controles que pertenecen a dicho grupo. • Nombre del grupo Puede seleccionar un nombre de grupo de enlaces de parámetros haciendo clic en el mismo.
Capítulo 3 Ventana del panel principal Sincronización (Sincronización de DME Designer y de las unidades) La unidad DME o SP2060 y DME Designer se sincronizan mediante el procedimiento de sincronización. La unidad DME o SP2060 funciona conforme a la configuración e información de escena que se transfiere en este proceso. Esta sincronización se utiliza cuando se transfiere la configuración realizada en DME Designer y cuando se controla la unidad DME o SP2060 en tiempo real.
Capítulo 3 Ventana del panel principal Cuadro de diálogo “Synchronization” (sincronización) Cuando se hace clic en el comando [Synchronization] del menú [Tools] (herramientas), aparece el cuadro de diálogo “Synchronization”. Los datos de Designer del grupo de dispositivos actual están sincronizados con la unidad DME o SP2060. Aquí puede realizar los ajustes de sincronización individual de la unidad en DME Designer con la unidad DME o SP2060 que realmente existe en la red.

Al hacer clic en este botón se muestra un cuadro de diálogo en el que el usuario puede decidir el método de sincronización. Botón [Designer→DME] Se realizará una comprobación de regularidad entre los datos del grupo de dispositivos actual y los datos DME o SP2060.

Establece la programación de los eventos. Puede programar los eventos especificando la fecha, la hora y la acción que se va a ejecutar. Puede establecer programaciones para eventos que se vayan a ejecutar a una hora concreta y para eventos que se vayan a repetir periódicamente.

Component Asigna componentes. Al hacer clic aquí, aparecerá una lista. En la lista se encuentran los componentes asignables. Haga clic en el nombre del componente para seleccionarlo. Parameter Establece los parámetros de enlace del componente asignado.
Capítulo 3 Ventana del panel principal Min/Max (mín/máx) Establece el intervalo del parámetro. Se muestran los valores actuales para el límite inferior [Min] y el límite superior [Max]. El intervalo y las unidades que se pueden establecer varían en función del parámetro seleccionado. Al hacer clic aquí, aparecerá una guía. Puede cambiar el parámetro arrastrando la guía. Para realizar un ajuste más preciso, pulse la tecla a la vez que arrastra la guía.

En la lista se mostrarán los parámetros incluidos en la configuración actual. Seleccione el parámetro que desea activar con la tecla de función. LCD Display (pantalla LCD) Establece el texto que se muestra en la unidad DME o ICP1. Haga clic en el cuadro [LCD Display] e introduzca un texto. Se pueden escribir hasta 23 caracteres en el cuadro [LCD Display].

Aparecerá el cuadro de diálogo “User Defined Button”. 3 Haga clic en una de las fichas de [1] a [4] para seleccionar el conjunto de parámetros definidos por el usuario al que vaya a asignar sus parámetros.

Aquí puede realizar ajustes para cuando la unidad DME64N/24N se supervise desde un control DAW. Estos valores se establecen para cada configuración de zona. La configuración únicamente se puede llevar a cabo cuando se está fuera de línea. NOTA El control DAW sólo se puede establecer en las unidades DME64N/24N.

Al hacer clic aquí, aparecerá una lista. • [No Assign] No lleva a cabo ninguna asignación. Seleccione esta opción cuando esté borrando una asignación que estuviese establecida. • [Parameter Value Edit] Permite cambiar el parámetro del componente especificado en el campo [Parameter].

Se puede elegir entre [Switch] (interruptor), [Fader] (deslizador) o [Knob] (mando). [Label] (etiqueta) Introduce una etiqueta. Haga doble clic para escribir el texto. Puede introducir hasta 16 caracteres de texto. Para establecer el valor pulse la tecla . Si desea cancelarlo, pulse la tecla .

Registra los parámetros que se van a controlar desde un controlador externo.

No obstante, los parámetros que se muestran en el editor de módulos de usuario sí se muestran aquí. [ID] Muestra el identificador del componente o parámetro. El identificador del parámetro mostrará los siguientes datos: “Element No. : X : Y : Parameter No. : Index No”.

El proceso de impresión comienza al hacer clic en el botón [Print]. NOTA El cuadro de diálogo [Print] que aparece variará en función de la impresora que se haya conectado. ■ Botón [Setup] (configurar) Al hacer clic aquí aparece el cuadro de diálogo “Print Setup”. En él puede establecer el tamaño del papel, la orientación y la fuente.

Haga clic en el nombre de enlace de escena para editarlo. ■ Botón [New] (nuevo) Crea una nueva configuración de enlace de escena.

La configuración de enlace de escena seleccionada y las que figuran a continuación se desplazarán una posición hacia abajo.
Capítulo 3 Ventana del panel principal Administrador de bibliotecas SP2060 Haga clic en el elemento [SP2060 Library Manager] en el menú [Tools] para abrir la ventana “SP2060 Library Manager”. Ventana “SP2060 Library Manager” Permite editar las bibliotecas del componente SP2060 Speaker Processor (procesador de altavoces SP2060). Se pueden almacenar hasta 60 bibliotecas para cada componente y hasta 360 bibliotecas para cada unidad SP2060.
Capítulo 3 Ventana del panel principal ■ Botón [Add File] (añadir archivo) Añade un archivo de biblioteca guardado por el editor de componentes (extensión .cel) en la unidad SP2060 seleccionada en la lista SP2060. Al hacer clic en el botón [Add File], aparece la ventana “Open”. Seleccione un archivo de biblioteca y haga clic en el botón [Open] para añadir la biblioteca. El botón [Add File] aparecerá difuminado y no funcionará si no se ha seleccionado ninguna unidad SP2060.
Capítulo 3 Ventana del panel principal Configuración del puerto MIDI Haga clic en el elemento [Port] del menú [Setup] para abrir la ventana “Port”. En esta ventana puede definir el puerto MIDI del dispositivo actual del sistema principal que va a utilizar DME Designer. NOTA Sólo está disponible USB 1 en DME8i-C/DME8o-C/DME4io-C. Cuadro de diálogo “Port” Selecciona el controlador MIDI que se utiliza para transmitir y recibir mensajes MIDI.

Se visualizará el método abreviado introducido en el teclado del ordenador. ■ Botón [OK] Introduce los ajustes y cierra el cuadro de diálogo.

Aquí puede crear usuarios y eliminarlos. También puede establecer el nivel de seguridad para cada usuario. Los usuarios se guardan en la configuración de DME Designer. No es necesario crear usuarios para cada archivo.

Si se marca esta casilla de verificación, el usuario que se muestra en el cuadro de la derecha se conectará automáticamente cuando se inicie DEM Designer. El inicio de sesión automático conecta al usuario sin que sea necesario introducir una contraseña.
Capítulo 3 Ventana del panel principal User List (lista de usuarios) Aquí se muestran los usuarios registrados. El usuario conectado aparece en negrita. Haga clic en el nombre del usuario del que quiera editar sus ajustes. 1 2 6 3 4 5 El [Administrator] es el usuario establecido de forma predeterminada, y es el encargado de administrar el sistema. El usuario [Administrator] tiene el nivel superior y puede utilizar todas las funciones.
Capítulo 3 Ventana del panel principal 4 Botón [Remove User] (suprimir usuario) Elimina el usuario seleccionado de la lista. Sólo se pueden eliminar usuarios con un nivel inferior al del usuario conectado. Es más, el usuario conectado no puede eliminarse a sí mismo. 5 Botón [Change] (modificar) Cambia los ajustes del usuario seleccionado de la lista. Abre el cuadro de diálogo “Change User Information” (cambiar la información de usuario). El contenido del cuadro de diálogo es el mismo que el de “Add User”.

Esta ventana se puede utilizar para establecer la dirección IP y el estado del sistema principal/ secundario del grupo de dispositivos de las unidades DME y SP2060. NOTA Estos ajustes se pueden editar independientemente de los ajustes actuales de las unidades DME y SP2060.
Capítulo 3 Ventana del panel principal ■ Master ID Si la unidad DME o SP2060 conectada al puerto especificado en la selección de puerto es un dispositivo secundario, aparece el cuarto octeto de la dirección IP del sistema principal del grupo de dispositivos y se puede editar. Este parámetro aparece únicamente si el dispositivo es el sistema principal del grupo de dispositivos.
Capítulo 3 Ventana del panel principal ■ Ficha Info Muestra la información básica de la unidad DME o SP2060 seleccionada. Label Muestra los nombres asignados a las unidades de DME y SP2060. Version Muestra los números de versión de firmware de las unidades DME y SP2060 que están en línea. Battery Muestra el estado de batería de las unidades DME y SP2060 que están en línea. Fecha Muestra la fecha y la hora de los relojes internos de las unidades DME y SP2060 que están en línea.
Capítulo 3 Ventana del panel principal Group Master/Slave (sistema principal/secundario del grupo) Muestra el sistema secundario y principal del grupo de dispositivos. IP Address (dirección IP) Muestra la dirección IP. Link Mode Muestra si la conexión de red se produce a través de 10Base-T o 100Base-TX. MAC Address (dirección MAC) Muestra la dirección MAC cuando se esté en línea. ■ Ficha Display (pantalla) Muestra y permite la edición de la pantalla del panel DME64N/24N.
Capítulo 3 Ventana del panel principal ■ Ficha Lock (bloqueo) Muestra y permite la edición de los parámetros de bloqueo del panel SP2060 y DME64N/24N. Sólo aparece el parámetro de bloqueo de usuario, que se puede editar en las unidades SP2060. El resto de parámetros aparece y se puede editar en las unidades DME64N/24N. Utility Muestra y establece el estado de bloqueo de la pantalla Utility. Los ajustes son “Unlock” (desbloquear) y “Lock” (bloquear).
Capítulo 3 Ventana del panel principal User Lock (bloqueo de usuario) Muestra y establece el estado de bloqueo del panel. Los ajustes son “Unlock” u “Lock”. Unlock: Panel no bloqueado. Lock: Panel bloqueado. Las siguientes operaciones no se pueden realizar si se ha bloqueado el panel: • Cambios de parámetros. • Almacenamiento/recuperación de escena. • Edición de títulos de escena. • Cambios de protección de escena. • Recuperación de biblioteca.
Capítulo 3 Ventana del panel principal Remote Control Muestra y permite la edición del terminal [REMOTE] de la unidad DME. Están disponibles los siete parámetros siguientes: HA Control (control HA): Control de principal amplificador externo (sólo RS-422). COM(232C): Controlado con el protocolo de comunicación DME a través de RS-232C. COM(422): Controlado con el protocolo de comunicación DME a través de RS-422. MIDI(232C): Controlado con los comandos MIDI utilizando RS-232C.
Capítulo 3 Ventana del panel principal MIDI Channel (canal MIDI) Establece el canal MIDI. Este número también se utiliza como valor Parameter Change Device ID (identificador de dispositivo de cambio de parámetro). • [Tx] (transmisión) Seleccione el canal de transmisión MIDI de la lista. • [Rx] (recepción) Seleccione el canal de recepción MIDI de la lista.
Capítulo 3 Ventana del panel principal Casilla [Ch] En estas casillas se especifican los canales que se van a calibrar. Información de calibración Muestra el voltaje de entrada en tiempo real. Botón [Reset] (restablecer) Restablece la calibración de los canales comprobados. Botón [Max] Establece el voltaje de entrada actual como el voltaje de entrada máximo de los canales comprobados. El voltaje máximo especificado se indica mediante una barra roja.
Capítulo 3 Ventana del panel principal Word Clock (reloj) La señal que sincroniza todos los dispositivos conectados a la unidad DME o SP2060 se denomina “Word Clock”. Utiliza la misma frecuencia que la frecuencia de muestreo. El reloj se establece para cada unidad DME o SP2060 en el cuadro de diálogo “Word Clock”. Cuando se hace clic en [Word Clock] en el menú [Hardware], aparece el cuadro de diálogo “Word Clock”.
Capítulo 3 Ventana del panel principal ■ Card (tarjeta) (información sobre ranuras) Muestra el nombre de la tarjeta insertada en la ranura. Número de la ranura Nombre de la tarjeta ■ Estado del reloj El estado del reloj se muestra mediante un código de color: Estado Significado Indica que no hay señal de entrada. Indica que hay una señal de entrada y que es posible la sincronización con el reloj actual.
Capítulo 3 Ventana del panel principal Monitor Out (salida de monitor) Cuando se hace clic en el comando [Monitor Out] del menú [Setup], aparece el cuadro de diálogo “Monitor”. Define el destino de salida del monitor. NOTA Monitor Out sólo se puede establecer en las unidades DME64N/24N. ■ [DME] En la lista, seleccione la unidad DME64N/24N donde vaya a realizar los ajustes. ■ Lista desplegable Seleccione la tarjeta para el destino de la salida de monitor de la lista.
Capítulo 3 Ventana del panel principal Clock (reloj) Cuando se hace clic en el comando [Clock] del menú [Hardware], aparece el cuadro de diálogo “Clock”. Aquí puede establecer el reloj interno de la unidad DME. Sólo se puede establecer cuando está en línea. De forma predeterminada es la fecha y la hora del ordenador. Establezca la fecha en el cuadro de la izquierda y la hora en el de la derecha. Puede cambiar los números mediante [▲] y [▼] a la derecha de los cuadros.
Capítulo 3 Ventana del panel principal Ajustes del idioma Cuando se hace clic en el comando [Language] (idioma) del menú [Hardware], aparece el cuadro de diálogo “Language”. Esto permite establecer el idioma de la unidad DME64N/24N. NOTA Los ajustes de idioma se pueden establecer únicamente en las unidades DME64N/24N. Nombres y funciones ■ [Language] (idioma) Seleccione el idioma. En la lista desplegable aparecen [English/German/French/Spanish] (inglés/ alemán/francés/español) y [Japanese] (japonés).
Capítulo 3 Ventana del panel principal Backup (copia de seguridad) Cuando se hace clic en el comando [Backup] del menú [Hardware], aparece el cuadro de diálogo “Backup”. Los datos de la unidad DME o SP2060 se recopilan en el equipo y se guardan en forma de archivo. Se crean archivos de copia de seguridad de cada unidad DME o SP2060. También puede enviar a una unidad DME o SP2060 la información guardada en un archivo.
Capítulo 3 Ventana del panel principal Actualización de firmware de DME Puede utilizar el firmware ICP1 de la unidad DME o SP2060 con el comando [Firmware Update] (actualización de firmware) del menú [Hardware]. Al mover el cursor del ratón sobre el comando [Firmware] del menú [Tools], aparece un submenú. Al seleccionar [Program+Component] (programa + componente) o [Recovery Update] (actualización de recuperación) en el submenú, aparece el cuadro de diálogo “Open”.
Capítulo 3 Ventana del panel principal ■ [Program+Component] Actualiza el firmware de la unidad DME/SP2060/ICP1. 1 Seleccione [Firmware Update] ➞ [Program+Component] en el menú [Hardware]. Aparecerá el cuadro de diálogo de selección de carpeta. 2 Seleccione la carpeta que contiene el archivo de actualización y, a continuación, haga clic en el botón [OK]. Se abrirá la ventana “Firmware Update”.
Capítulo 3 Ventana del panel principal ■ [Recovery Update] Restablece el firmware de DME, SP2060 o ICP1. NOTA Al realizar una operación de recuperación de firmware en una unidad DME, desconéctela de la red y lleve a cabo la operación con la unidad DME conectada directamente al ordenador mediante USB. 1 Seleccione [Firmware Update] -> [Recovery Update] en el menú “Hardware”. Aparecerá el cuadro de diálogo de selección de carpeta.
Capítulo 4 Designer Edición de configuraciones Configuraciones La información sobre las entradas y salidas, además de la disposición de los componentes y el modo de conectarlos, se denomina una “configuración”. Las configuraciones se crean en la ventana Designer y se envían a la unidad DME. En la ventana Designer, las configuraciones se diseñan mediante diversas ventanas de diseño, como las ventanas Area (Área), Zone (Zona), Configuration (Configuración) y User Module (Módulo de usuario).
Capítulo 4 Designer ■ Edit Mode ON/OFF El modo edición puede activarse o desactivarse con el comando [Edit Mode] (modo edición) del menú [Tools] o el menú contextual que se abre al hacer clic con el botón derecho del ratón en la hoja de cálculo. Para activar Edit Mode haga clic en el comando, de modo que aparezca una marca de selección a la izquierda del nombre del comando.
Capítulo 4 Designer Barra de menús Los comandos que se pueden ejecutar en la aplicación están agrupados en categorías en la barra de menús. Cuando se hace clic en una de las categorías aparece una lista de comandos. Barra de herramientas Los comandos utilizados con mayor frecuencia aparecen como botones en esta barra.
Capítulo 4 Designer ■ Botones [Zoom Out]/[Zoom In]/[Actual Size]/[Zoom To] (Alejar/Acercar/ Tamaño real/Zoom) Estos botones se corresponden con los comandos del mismo nombre que aparecen en el menú [View] (Ver). Cambia la ampliación de la imagen mostrada en la pantalla. → “Menú [View]” en “Menús de la ventana Designer” (página 178) ■ Botón [Arrow] (flecha) El cursor del ratón aparece como una retícula y se puede utilizar para seleccionar objetos.
Capítulo 4 Designer Resource Meter Window (Ventana Resource Meter) Resource Meter (medidor de recursos) se puede mostrar u ocultar a través del comando [Navigator] (navegador) en el menú [View] (ver).La ventana Resource Meter únicamente aparece cuando las ventanas Configuration y User Module están activas. En la ventana Resource Meter (medición de recursos) se mide el porcentaje de uso de memoria DSP y el porcentaje de uso del recurso SPX.
Capítulo 4 Designer Navigator Window (Ventana Navigator) La ventana Navigator se puede mostrar u ocultar a través del comando [Navigator] del menú [View] o del botón [Show/Hide Navigator] (mostrar/ocultar navegador) en Botones de herramienta (grandes) de la ventana principal o a través del comando [Navigator] del menú [View] de la ventana Designer.
Capítulo 4 Designer ■ Área Si hace clic en un área durante la edición fuera de línea, se activará la ventana Area. ■ Zona Si hace clic en una zona durante la edición fuera de línea, se activará la ventana Zone. Si está abierta otra ventana Zone, se cerrará. NOTA Cuando haya varias configuraciones en una zona, haga clic en una configuración para cambiar de configuración, no de zona.
Capítulo 4 Designer Toolkit Window (Ventana Toolkit) Muestra los objetos que pueden disponerse en cada ventana de diseño. El contenido mostrado varía de acuerdo con la ventana que está activa. → Consulte “Objetos” en la página 183.
Capítulo 4 Designer Presentación de la ventana Toolkit Puede mostrar u ocultar la ventana Toolkit mediante el comando [Toolkit] (Kit de herramientas) del menú [View] (Ver). Muestra los objetos que pueden disponerse en cada ventana de diseño. Capítulo 4 Designer [Device List] (Lista de dispositivos) La lista de dispositivos muestra los objetos que se pueden disponer en una ventana Zone (configuración). Los mismos objetos se muestran en el submenú [Device List] del menú [Tools] o en el menú contextual que aparece cuando se hace clic con el botón derecho del ratón en la hoja.
Capítulo 4 Designer [Component List] (Lista de componentes) (ventana User Module) La lista de componentes muestra los objetos que se pueden disponer en la ventana User Module. Los mismos objetos se muestran en el submenú [Component List] del menú [Tools] o en el menú contextual que aparece cuando se hace clic con el botón derecho del ratón en la hoja.
Capítulo 4 Designer Four Design Windows (Cuatro ventanas de diseño) Están disponibles las siguientes ventanas de diseño: Area (Área), Zone (Zona), Configuration (Configuración) y User Module (Módulo de usuario). En cada ventana aparece una hoja en la que se pueden disponer objetos. En la ventana Designer puede abrir y editar simultáneamente las ventanas Area, Zone, Configuration y User Module.
Capítulo 4 Designer Menú de la ventana Designer Menú [Print] (Imprimir) Este menú incluye comandos que permiten exportar configuraciones e imprimir el contenido de ventanas. ■ [Print Setup] (Configuración de impresión) Cuando se selecciona este comando aparece el cuadro de diálogo “Print Setup” (Configuración de impresión). Configura el tamaño y la orientación de la página.
Capítulo 4 Designer Menú [Edit] (Edición) Este menú incluye comandos de edición. ■ [Undo] (Deshacer) Deshace la operación de edición más reciente. Para eliminar varias operaciones, haga clic repetidamente en este botón. Cuando no sea posible deshacer una operación, el comando aparecerá difuminado en gris. ■ [Redo] (Rehacer) Restablece el estado que existía antes de ejecutar el comando [Undo] (Deshacer). Para rehacer varias operaciones, haga clic repetidamente en este botón.
Capítulo 4 Designer ■ [Display Order] (Orden de presentación) Cambia el orden de presentación (delante o detrás) de los objetos seleccionados. → “Cambio del orden” en “Operaciones y ajustes compartidos de las ventanas de diseño” (página 252) ■ [Edit Legend] (Editar inscripción) Este comando se puede seleccionar cuando una ventana Area, Zone o Configuration está activa. Permite editar el texto descriptivo (inscripción) que aparece en la hoja de la ventana Area, Zone o Configuration.
Capítulo 4 Designer ■ [Full Screen] (Pantalla completa) Muestra la información en el modo de pantalla completa. Muestra exclusivamente la ventana de diseño activa (Area, Zone, Configuration o User Module), que ocupa toda la pantalla. Cuando se hace clic con el botón derecho del ratón en la pantalla aparece un menú contextual que contiene los comandos que son necesarios en esa parte de la pantalla. Para cambiar del modo de pantalla completa al estado de presentación original, presione la tecla .
Capítulo 4 Designer Menú [Tools] (Herramientas) ■ [Area Parts List] (Lista de partes del área) Este comando sólo se puede utilizar cuando la ventana Area está activa. En un submenú se presentan los mismos objetos que aparecen en la ventana Toolkit que aparece mientras la ventana Area está activa. Al hacer clic en un objeto del submenú y, a continuación, en la ventana Area, se sitúa ese objeto en la ventana Area.
Capítulo 4 Designer ■ [Save User Module] (Guardar módulo de usuario) Este comando sólo se puede utilizar cuando está seleccionado un módulo de usuario en la ventana Configuration. Guarda una plantilla para el módulo de usuario seleccionado.
Capítulo 4 Designer ■ [Hand] El cursor del ratón aparece con forma de mano y se puede utilizar para hacer clic en la hoja de cálculo y "agarrarla" para desplazarla. ■ [Export DXF] (Exportar DXF) Exporta la información de la ventana activa y la guarda como un archivo DXF, que es compatible con el software de CAD vendido por otras empresas.
Capítulo 4 Designer Objetos Tipos de objetos Los dispositivos, las formas y las líneas que se pueden disponer en cada ventana de diseño se denominan “objetos”.
Capítulo 4 Designer Zone (Zona) En la ventana Area debe aparecer al menos una zona. Las zonas se añaden y se eliminan mediante el cuadro de diálogo “Zone”. Las zonas no aparecen en la ventana Toolkit ni en el submenú [Area Parts List] (Lista de partes del área) del menú [Tools] (Herramientas). Si hace clic con el botón derecho del ratón en el nombre de un objeto de zona situado en la ventana Area, aparecerá un menú contextual.

Aquí se pueden definir las propiedades de los objetos de la zona. El comando [Properties] también está disponible en el menú contextual de los objetos de zona.
Capítulo 4 Designer [Style] (Estilo) Ajusta el estilo del objeto. Seleccione en la lista [Plain] (Normal), [Raised] (Elevado) o [Sunken] (Hundido). Elevado Hundido Background Image (Imagen de fondo) Ajusta los efectos de fondo del objeto. • Botón [Color] Ajusta el color. Capítulo 4 Designer Picture (Imagen) Se puede disponer una imagen como un objeto en una hoja. Para ello se especifica un archivo. Puede utilizar los siguientes formatos de archivos de imagen: BMP (.bmp), PNG (.png), XBM (.xbm), XPM (.xpM) y JPEG (.jpg). Antes de colocar un objeto de imagen, prepare un archivo de imagen.
Capítulo 4 Designer ■ Objeto de imagen Cuando se hace clic en un objeto de imagen que está colocado en una ventana de diseño, en las esquinas y en los lados del objeto aparecen controladores de tamaño (cuadrados pequeños). Puede aumentar o reducir el tamaño de la imagen arrastrando un controlador de tamaño. Si hace doble clic en el objeto, se abrirá el cuadro de diálogo “Open” (Abrir), en el que podrá cambiar el archivo de imagen.
Capítulo 4 Designer ■ Propiedades de objetos de imagen Para mostrar el cuadro de diálogo “Picture Properties” (Propiedades de imagen), seleccione un objeto de imagen y haga clic en el comando [Properties] (Propiedades) del menú [Edit] (Edición). Cuadro [Label] (Etiqueta) Puede introducir hasta 100 caracteres que se mostrarán encima del objeto. Si se deja en blanco este cuadro, desaparecerá la etiqueta. [Draw Picture Border] (dibujar borde de gráfico) Muestra un borde alrededor de los objetos gráficos.
Capítulo 4 Designer Puerto Especifica el número de puertos que se visualizarán para un objeto de gráfico. • [Left] Define el número de puertos que aparecerán a la izquierda. • [Right] Define el número de puertos que aparecerán a la derecha. • Botón [Edit Port Label] Define la etiqueta y el tipo de cada puerto. Haga clic para abrir el cuadro de diálogo [Edit Port Label]. Botón [OK] Acepta los valores modificados y cierra el cuadro de diálogo.

Cuadro [Text] (Texto) Puede introducir hasta 10.000 caracteres que se mostrarán en el cuadro del objeto de texto. Botón [Text Font] (Fuente del texto) Ajusta la fuente.

Capítulo 4 Designer Ellipse (Elipse) La opción [Ellipse] (Elipse) de la ventana Toolkit coloca una forma elíptica en la hoja. Cuando se hace clic en un objeto de elipse que está colocado en la hoja, en las esquinas y en los lados del objeto aparecen controladores de tamaño (cuadrados pequeños). Capítulo 4 Designer Exportación de cada ventana de diseño En lugar de guardar archivos de proyecto completos, puede extraer la información contenida en la ventana activa mediante el comando [Print] (Imprimir) → [Export DXF] (Exportar DXF) de la ventana Designer y guardarla en un archivo con el formato DXF. Estos nombres de archivo tienen la extensión “.dxf”. Puesto que el formato DXF utiliza el formato estándar de los archivos CAD, se puede abrir con software de CAD.

[Explode] (Expandir) Convierte los bloques en conjuntos de cuatro líneas y no agrupa el texto en los iconos de puerto y nombres de puerto. ■ [Paper Size] (Tamaño de papel) Ajusta el tamaño del papel.
Capítulo 4 Designer Impresión de cada ventana de diseño Puede imprimir el contenido de cada ventana de diseño tal y como aparece en la pantalla. El contenido de la ventana se ampliará o se reducirá según sea necesario para adaptarse al tamaño y a la orientación del papel, y se imprimirá en una hoja de papel. Los comandos relacionados con la impresión se encuentran en el menú [Print] (Imprimir) de la ventana Designer.
Capítulo 4 Designer ■ Ventana [Print Preview] (vista preliminar) Muestra una presentación preliminar del contenido de la ventana de diseño activa. Capítulo 4 Designer Edición de objetos Los objetos que se han dispuesto en la hoja se pueden editar mediante los comandos [Cut] (Cortar), [Copy] (Copiar), [Paste] (Pegar), [Duplicate] (Duplicar) y otros similares del menú [Edit] (Edición). Estos comandos de edición también aparecerán en el menú contextual que se muestra cuando se hace clic con el botón derecho del ratón en un objeto en la ventana de diseño.
Capítulo 4 Designer Cambio del orden Los objetos recién colocados en la hoja aparecerán encima de otros objetos colocados anteriormente con los que queden solapados. Puede cambiar este comportamiento mediante el comando [Display Order] (Orden de presentación) del menú [Edit] (Edición). Capítulo 4 Designer Dibujo y edición de líneas Línea Los objetos que están dispuestos en las hojas de las ventanas Configuration o User Module se pueden conectar entre sí por medio de líneas. Esto no sólo permite conectar lógicamente fuentes de señales (lado de salida) y destinos de señales (lado de entrada), sino que también permite dibujar conexiones y líneas independientes en la pantalla. Cada línea tiene, al menos, dos nodos de línea. Los nodos se unen mediante segmentos de línea.
Capítulo 4 Designer ■ Segmento de línea El valor predeterminado de anchura de línea se ajusta a entre uno y cinco píxeles en el cuadro de diálogo “Preferences” (preferencias) de la ventana Designer. El grosor y el color de la línea se pueden ajustar según sea necesario en el cuadro de diálogo “Wire Properties” (Propiedades de línea) para las diversas líneas dispuestas en la hoja.
Capítulo 4 Designer ■ Nodos de línea Ambos extremos de una línea, el punto donde se curvan las líneas y el punto donde se bifurcan las líneas se denominan “nodos”. Cuando un objeto de línea no está seleccionado, no aparecen sus nodos. Cuando se selecciona una línea, los nodos aparecen con un círculo rojo. Selección de nodos Cuando se hace clic en un nodo, sólo se selecciona ese nodo. Puede seleccionar varios nodos manteniendo presionada la tecla mientras hace clic.
Capítulo 4 Designer Zona interactiva Los pequeños rectángulos blancos situados en los bordes de los objetos se denominan “zonas interactivas”. Las líneas normalmente se conectan a zonas interactivas. Zonas interactivas • Algunas zonas interactivas no disponen de una conexión a una señal lógica en el hardware. • Las zonas interactivas de los componentes y módulos de usuario normalmente incluyen conexiones lógicas. • Las zonas interactivas de los dispositivos externos no incluyen conexiones lógicas.
Capítulo 4 Designer Ajustes de dibujo Hay disponibles varias funciones que contribuyen a asegurar un dibujo exacto de las líneas. ■ Cuadrícula Para dibujar con precisión en relación con la cuadrícula, active la opción [Snap to Grid] (Ajustar a cuadrícula) en el cuadro de diálogo “Grid” (Cuadrícula).

No se realizarán conexiones automáticas encima de los objetos. Presione la tecla [F8] para borrar todas las líneas conectadas al objeto seleccionado.

Capítulo 4 Designer ■ Edición mediante arrastre Desplazamiento de nodos Puede desplazar nodos arrastrándolos con el ratón. Si selecciona varios nodos y los arrastra con el ratón, podrá desplazar simultáneamente todos los nodos seleccionados. Desplazamiento de segmentos de línea Para desplazar un segmento de línea, seleccione los nodos situados a ambos lados del segmento y arrastre uno de ellos.
Capítulo 4 Designer Conexión lógica Una conexión entre una señal de fuente (lado de salida) y una señal de destino (lado de entrada) se denomina “conexión lógica”. Si existe una conexión lógica en una configuración, se conectará la señal de hardware real. Una línea puede realizar una conexión lógica. Las conexiones lógicas sólo son posibles en las ventanas Configuration y User Module. En las ventanas Area o Zone se pueden dibujar líneas que sólo se pueden visualizar.
Capítulo 4 Designer Cómo agregar, eliminar y cambiar el nombre de una zona Un área incluye al menos una zona. En la ventana Area predeterminada, esa zona se denominará [Zone1]. En un área se pueden disponer varias zonas. Cuando se hace clic en el comando [Zone Manager] (Zona) del menú [Tools] (Herramientas), aparece el cuadro de diálogo “Zone”, en el que puede agregar, eliminar o cambiar el nombre de una zona.
Capítulo 4 Designer Botón [Rename] (Cambiar nombre) Cambia el nombre de la zona seleccionada en la lista. Al hacer clic aparece el cuadro de diálogo “Enter new name for the current zone name” (Introduzca un nombre nuevo para la zona actual). Introduzca un nombre para la zona y haga clic en el botón [OK]. Capítulo 4 Designer • Botón [Delete] (Eliminar) Elimina el grupo de dispositivos actualmente seleccionado en la lista. Aparecerá el cuadro de confirmación "Are you sure" (¿Está seguro de …?) cuando se hace clic en este botón. El grupo de dispositivos seleccionado se eliminará al hacer clic en el botón [OK]. Haga clic en el botón [Cancel] para interrumpir la operación de eliminación. NOTA Los grupos de dispositivos no se pueden eliminar cuando incluyen dispositivos asignados.
Capítulo 4 Designer Cómo añadir, eliminar y cambiar el nombre de una configuración Un grupo de dispositivos incluye al menos una configuración y se pueden añadir otras si se necesita. Cuando se hace clic en el comando [Configuration Manager] del menú [Tools], aparece el cuadro de diálogo "Configuration Manager", en el que puede añadir, eliminar o cambiar el nombre de una configuración.

Cuando hace clic en una configuración en la ventana Navigator, se activa.

Al hacer clic en este botón de forma alterna, se activa y desactiva el enlace de entrada A/B. Cuando se activa, los parámetros del nivel de entrada, el EQ y el componente de retardo se copian de la entrada A a la B y quedan enlazados en lo sucesivo.
Capítulo 4 Designer Objeto de monitor Si hace clic en otro puerto de salida, cambiará la ubicación monitorizada. ■ Selección de canal izquierdo/derecho Para monitorizar simultáneamente los canales izquierdo y derecho, presione la tecla y haga clic en el canal izquierdo, y repita el procedimiento para el canal derecho.
Capítulo 4 Designer Show Signal Delay (valor de presentación de retardo) La señal sufrirá un retardo según el tiempo de procesamiento del procesador de audio. El comando [Show Signal Delay] del menú [Tools] calcula un valor de retardo del componente y lo muestra. Al seleccionar este comando se activa o desactiva la presentación del valor del retardo. Cuando está activado, aparece una marca a su lado.
Capítulo 4 Designer Lista de puntos de monitorización Cuando se hace clic en el comando [Monitoring Point List] del menú [Tools], aparece el cuadro de diálogo “Monitoring Point List”. Aquí puede registrar o modificar los puntos para monitorizar con auriculares. [No.] (número) Muestra los números de los puntos de enlace del monitor. Los números se asignan en orden empezando por arriba. Un módulo de usuario se puede disponer en la ventana Configuration como cualquier otro componente. La edición de un módulo de usuario consiste en colocar el componente y realizar conexiones lógicas con líneas, de la misma manera que se hace con las configuraciones.
Capítulo 4 Designer Creación de módulos de usuario Cuando se coloca un módulo de usuario en blanco en la ventana Configuration, se crea un nuevo módulo de usuario. 1 Active la ventana Configuration. 2 Haga clic en el símbolo [+] que aparece al lado de [User Module] en la ventana Toolkit. Aparecerán los elementos que se encuentran un nivel por debajo de la carpeta [User Module]. 3 Arrastre el [Blank User Module] (Módulo de usuario en blanco) a la ventana Configuration.

La disposición de los componentes y las conexiones lógicas se configuran en la hoja de cálculo de diseño. La hoja de cálculo de diseño se puede abrir seleccionando [Open User Module Design Window] (abrir ventana de diseño del módulo de usuario) en el menú contextual correspondiente a los módulos de usuario de la ventana configuración.

Si existen dos o más componentes del mismo tipo, se adjuntarán números a sus nombres de la siguiente manera: “Compressor (2)”, “Compressor (3)”, etc. Los diversos componentes colocados en la configuración son independientes y es posible ajustar diferentes parámetros para cada uno de ellos.

NOTA El nombre del módulo de usuario también se convierte en el nombre de archivo. En los gráficos que tengan puntos de control, los parámetros se pueden ajustar arrastrando los puntos. En los gráficos que tienen puntos de control limitados al movimiento en una sola dirección, al alinear el puntero del ratón con el punto de control y pulsar el botón, el puntero cambia a una flecha de doble punta que señala en ambas direcciones.

Los controles del editor de control del usuario están vinculados a los controles del componente original. Si se cambian los parámetros en el editor de control del usuario, cambiarán de la misma forma en el editor de componentes.

El icono de candado aparecerá cerrado cuando no se haya introducido la contraseña, y no se podrán guardar los diseños editados en Design Mode (modo diseño). Cuando se introduce la contraseña, se proporcionan unos instantes para guardar el diseño.

Si se alinea el puntero del ratón con un lado o una esquina de la ventana, su forma cambia a una flecha de dos puntas. Cuando la flecha tiene esta forma, al arrastrarla se cambia el tamaño de la ventana. Aunque se cambie el ancho de la ventana, el botón de la biblioteca permanece donde está, esto es, en la esquina superior derecha.
Capítulo 5 Componentes Configurar imágenes de fondo en Windows El color predeterminado para el fondo de la ventana del editor de control o de módulos del usuario es negro, el mismo que para la ventana del editor de componentes. No obstante, puede cambiar el color o mostrar una imagen en el fondo. Estos ajustes se realizan en el cuadro de diálogo “Background Image”.

Al leer un archivo de biblioteca guardado, se pueden restablecer todos los parámetros del editor al estado que tenían cuando se guardó el archivo. La operación que consiste en guardar un archivo de biblioteca se denomina “almacenamiento”, mientras que la de restablecer los ajustes se denomina “recuperación”.

Cuando se recupera una biblioteca en una ventana del editor, el conjunto de parámetros se graba en el botón Snap seleccionado.

Sólo se puede disponer de un reproductor de archivos Wav por cada unidad DME. NOTA Es posible que se produzcan bajadas en el sonido si cambia el tipo de efecto de los componentes SPX mientras reproduce un archivo Wave en el reproductor de archivos Wav.
Capítulo 6 Guía de componentes Mixer (mezclador) El grupo del mezclador contiene Auto Mixer (mezclador automático), Delayed Mixer (mezclador con retardo) y Matrix Mixer (mezclador con matriz). Auto Mixer (mezclador automático) Hay una puerta de ruido para cada canal de entrada, que sólo permite pasar las señales que superan un umbral determinado. En cada uno de los tres grupos hay cinco mezcladores disponibles con 2, 4, 8, 12 o 16 salidas, totalizando 15 componentes.

Al igual que el editor de componentes de la mezcla con matriz, los canales de entrada se sitúan en la vertical y los canales de salida en la horizontal.

Haga clic para establecer las asignaciones de esa posición. Si el canal de entrada en el que se ha hecho clic tiene asignado otro canal de salida, la asignación original no se borrará.
