Charging the Battery
1 Install the battery in this product (page 13).
2 Connect the power cord to the unit and an
AC outlet to charge the battery.
 Reasons why the battery cannot be
charged
The battery temperature might be high. Place the battery in
a cool, dark place and wait until the temperature drops. Also,
the battery might not be charged if it has deteriorated.
List of battery-related indicators
 While the unit is operating on AC power
(connected to an AC outlet)
 While the unit is operating on the
battery power
The METER indicators show the amount of remaining battery
charge if you press and hold down the [BATTERY CHECK]
switch.
 While the power switch is turned off
Under one of the following situations, the [ ] (Charge)
indicator will stay lit steadily.
• The maximum battery capacity has decreased to less than
75%.
• The battery is not usable.
