432 Question: As there is no CD audio input on the card for sampling, is it possible to find
applications software that will ‘rip’ audio from a CD, and save it to hard disk?
Answer: Yes. Lots of apps will do this, just search the net.
433 Question: Are there any good starting points for XG songs, i.e. in the form of templates?
Answer: Yes. Two good ones are the Yamaha Hypergrooves sets (volume 1&2), and also the
Twiddly bits volume 8 programmers kit for XG. There are also many demo MIDI files on the CD-
ROM that accompanies the SW1000XG.
434 Question: Is the SW1000XG compatible with GM level 1 & GS along with XG?
Answer: Yes.
435 Question: Will further developments for the SW1000XG in terms of drivers/ PLG expansion
boards be forthcoming in future?
Answer: Yamaha have several more boards based upon our current technology in planning,
so yes.
436 Question: Does a list of the effects exist also for the SW1000XG?
Answer: In the user manual and also in the XG online Specs at
