7.14.4 Set circuit failover
[Syntax]
circuit-failover ifname value
no circuit-failover ifname value
[Parameter]
ifname : Name of VLAN interface to be monitored
value : <1-253>
Value subtracted from the priority order of the virtual router
[Initial value]
none
[Input mode]
VRRP mode
[Description]
Specifies the circuit failover setting.
If the VLAN interface being monitored goes down, the specified value is subtracted from the priority order of the virtual router.
If you specify this value so that subtracting it from the priority order of the virtual router causes it to fall below the priority
order of the backup router, it will operate as the backup router when the monitored VLAN interface goes down.
If the VLAN interface being monitored recovers, the priority order of the virtual router also returns to the value prior to the
subtraction.
If this command is executed with the "no" syntax, the setting is deleted.
[Note]
This command can be set only if the virtual router is disabled.
Only one monitored VLAN interface can be specified for each virtual router.
This command cannot be used if the stack function is enabled.
[Example]
Specify that when VLAN #20 goes down, its priority order is lowered by 10.
SWX3220(config-router)#circuit-failover vlan20 10
