2.7. Switching through port indicator display modes
When an error occurs, the product switches to STATUS mode; and after the product is restored from
error status, the product returns to default LED mode automatically. The product switches to STATUS
mode automatically. You cannot switch manually to STATUS mode.
See the tables below for how modes are switched.
For default LED mode: LINK/ACT mode
Mode name Switching conditions Explanation
LINK/ACT Normal Displays the link status using the left indicators
on the LAN/SFP+ ports, and the connection speed
on the right indicators.

STATUS Error occurred (automatic
switching to LINK/ACT mode to
restore)
Displays the LAN/SFP+ port error status.
For default LED mode: OFF mode
Mode name Switching conditions Explanation
OFF Normal The indicators on the LAN/SFP+ ports and the
stack ID display indicator goes dark.

STATUS Error occurred (automatic
switching to OFF mode to
restore)
Displays the LAN/SFP+ port error status.
Memo
The factory default default LED mode is set to LINK/ACT mode.
Use the “show led-mode” command to check the default LED mode and the
display mode that is currently displayed.
