7.14.6 Set preempt mode

Setting value Description
enable Enable preempt mode
disable Disable preempt mode

[Description]
Sets preempt mode.
If preempt mode is enabled, the higher-priority router is always the master router.
If preempt mode is disabled, and a master router already exists, the higher-priority router is the backup router even if it is a
virtual router.
If this command is executed with the "no" syntax, the setting returns to the default.
[Note]
This command can be set only if the virtual router is disabled.
The preempt mode settings of the master router and the backup router must be consistent.
This command cannot be used if the stack function is enabled.
[Example]
Disable preempt mode.
SWX3220(config-router)#preempt-mode disable
