2. Grasp the body of the direct attach cable and insert it firmly into the SFP+ port of this
product.

Caution
• When making a stack connection using a direct attach cable, make sure that
the grounding for the connected devices is at the same potential.
Connecting two devices with different grounding potentials with a direct
attach cable may cause malfunctions or device failure.
• Attach the dust covers onto the SFP+ ports that are not in use. Failing to do so
could allow foreign objects to enter, causing malfunctions. When you take the
dust covers off, keep them in a safe place to avoid misplacing them.

Memo
• Since this product supports hot-swapping, a direct attach cable can be
attached without turning the power off.
• Refer to the manual included with each direct attach cable for instructions and
precautions regarding installation and removal.
