PREPARATION CONTROLS AND FUNCTIONS Front panel 1 POWER Press to turn on/off this unit. 6 CLEAR Clears the preset stations (see page 5). y 7 FM MODE Switches the FM radio wave reception mode (stereo or monaural) when this unit is in the FM tuning mode (see page 4). The POWER indicator above lights up when this unit is turned on. 2 Front panel display Displays information of the currently tuned FM or AM radio station or the operational status.
SETUP CONNECTIONS AM loop antenna (supplied) Indoor FM antenna (supplied) • The AM loop antenna should always be connected, even if an outdoor AM antenna is connected to this unit. • The AM loop antenna should be placed away from this unit. RCA stereo cable (supplied) Outdoor AM antenna R PREPARATION Note If you experience poor reception quality, install an outdoor antenna. Consult the nearest authorized Yamaha dealer or service center about outdoor antennas.
OPERATIONS TUNING Automatic tuning Selecting preset stations Automatic tuning is effective when station signals are strong and there is no interference. You can tune into any desired station simply by selecting the preset station number. 1 Note 2 Press FM/AM repeatedly to select the reception band (FM/AM). See the next page to preset stations. Press TUNING MODE to select “Auto tune”. 1 Press TUNING MODE repeatedly to select “Preset tune”.
PRESETTING STATIONS You can tune into stations easily by storing (presetting) and recalling them. This function enables this unit to preset up to 40 FM and AM stations. 3 Turn PRESET/TUNING to select the desired preset station number while the preset station number flashes. Automatic station preset (FM stations only) CH01 FM 99.80MHz To preset AM stations, see “Manual station preset” below. 1 Press FM/AM repeatedly to select the reception band (FM). 2 Press and hold MEMORY for more than 3 seconds.

OPÉRATIONS SYNTONISATION Syntonisation automatique Sélection de stations préréglées La syntonisation automatique est efficace lorsque les signaux captés sont puissants et qu’il n’y a pas d’interférences. Vous pouvez facilement syntoniser n’importe quelle station présélectionnée en sélectionnant le numéro de présélection. 1 Remarque 2 Appuyez plusieurs fois de suite sur FM/AM afin de sélectionner la gamme de réception (FM/AM). Voir la page suivante pour mettre en mémoire les stations.
MISE EN MÉMOIRE DE STATIONS Vous pouvez facilement syntoniser des stations en les mettant en mémoire (présélection) et en les rappelant. Cette fonction permet à cet appareil de présélectionner plus de 40 stations FM et AM. 3 Mise en mémoire automatique de stations (stations FM uniquement) Allumez PRESET/TUNING afin de choisir le numéro de présélection de station désiré pendant que le numéro de présélection de station clignote. OPERACIONES SINTONIZACIÓN Sintonización automática La sintonización automática es eficaz cuando las señales de emisoras son intensas y no hay interferencias. 1 Pulse FM/AM repetidamente para seleccionar la banda de recepción (FM/AM). EMISORAS PRESINTONIZADAS Puede sintonizar emisoras guardándolas (presintonización) y recuperándolas fácilmente. Esta función permite a este equipo presintonizar hasta 40 emisoras de FM y AM. 3 Cuando el número de emisora presintonizada parpadee, gire PRESET/ TUNING para seleccionar el número deseado de emisora presintonizada.
