CHECKING THE CLUTCH RELEASE

SHIFT ARM

1. Check:

clutch release shift arm

1

Damage/wear

→

Replace.

clutch release adjusting screw

Damage/wear

→

Replace.

INSTALLING THE CLUTCH

1. Install:

washer

cage

cage springs

9

rollers

9

clutch shoe housing boss

NOTE:

After installing the cage

1

, cage springs

2

and

rollers

3

, check that the there are right position

to turn the lateral direction. And then take care

comes off to install them onto the crankshaft.

2. Tighten:

clutch shoe housing nut

1

NOTE:

While holding the generator rotor

with the

sheave holder

3

, tighten the clutch shoe

housing nut.

Do not allow the sheave holder to touch the

projection on the generator rotor.

3. Install:

clutch push rod #2

spacer

clutch housing

washer

clutch boss

lock washer

9

clutch boss nut

NOTE:

Face the press dropped side toward the clutch

housing, and then install the washer
