REMOVING THE HANDLEBAR
1.Stand the vehicle on a level surface.
w
Securely support the vehicle so that there is
no danger of it falling over.
2. Remove:

side cowlings (left and right)
9
front cowling
9
center panels
Refer to “REMOVING THE FRONTCOWL-
INGS” in chapter 3.

headlight assembly
Refer to “REPLACING THE HEADLIGHT
BULBS” in chapter 3.
3. Disconnect:
9
meter assembly couplers

9
right handlebar switch coupler

9
left handlebar switch coupler

9
front brake light switch connectors

4. Disconnect:
9
speedometer cable
1
9
choke cable
2
5. Remove:
9
speedometer assembly
3
6. Remove:
9
rear view mirrors (left and right)
9
brake master cylinder

throttle housing
