Battery (For EF4000DE)
1. Remove the battery.
First, disconnect the negative battery lead, and
then the positive battery lead.
2. Check the fluid level. Add only distilled water if
necessary. (See page 33; “BATTERY Replenishing
the battery fluid”)
3. After checking the fluid level, charge the battery.
4. Store the battery in a cool, dark and dry place and
charge it once a month.
Do not store the battery in an excessively warm or
cold place [i.e., less than 0°C (30°F) or more than
30°C (90°F)].
