Rhythm Bass Determines whether the auto bass accompaniment for
the Rhythm is on or off.

Start
Determines how the Rhythm playback starts.
• On: You can start Rhythm playback by pressing any key on
the keyboard. Pressing Button 2 [Rhythm] in Utility (step 4
on page 41) makes the [Rhythm] lamp flash, and puts
Rhythm playback in standby. In this status, pressing any key
starts Rhythm playback.
• OFF: Press Button 2 [Rhythm] in the UTILITY to start
Rhythm playback (step 4 on page 41).

MIDI Transmit
Channel
Determines the MIDI channel over which the MIDI data
of the keyboard performance will be transmitted to
external MIDI devices. When this parameter is set to
“OFF,” MIDI data is not transmitted.

Local Control Determines whether the sound played on the keyboard
is produced from the tone generator of this instrument
or not.
• On: The keyboard performance data is transmitted to the
internal tone generator of this instrument and it produces
the sound.
• OFF: The keyboard performance data is not transmitted to
the internal tone generator of this instrument. This means
that even if you play the keyboard, this instrument will
produce no sound. Instead, the keyboard data can be
transmitted via MIDI to a connected external MIDI device,
which can produce the sound.

Backup (Voice) Determines whether the following Voice-related
settings are backed up (maintained even if the power is
turned off) or not. To back up the settings, set this
parameter to On.
• Current Voice
• Reverb settings (F1.1–F1.3)
• Voice effect settings (F2.1–F2.8)

Backup (Others) Determines whether the following performance-related
settings are backed up (maintained even if the power is
turned off) or not. To back up the settings, set this
parameter to On.
• Performance settings (F3.1–F3.6)
• Sound settings (F4.1–F4.7)
• Song settings (F5.1, F5.3)
• Rhythm settings (F6.1–F6.4)
• MIDI settings (F7.1–F7.2)

Bluetooth On/Off Turns the Bluetooth function on/off. To connect with a
Bluetooth-equipped device such as a smartphone, set
this to On. For details, refer to page 59.
NOTE
Depending on the country in which you purchased the
product, the instrument may not have Bluetooth capability. For
information on whether Bluetooth functionality is included or
not, refer to page 8.
