Engine trouble warning light “ ” This warning light comes on or flashes if a problem is detected in the electrical circuit monitoring the engine. If this occurs, have a Yamaha dealer check the self-diagnosis system.

If you do not reset the fuel reserve tripmeter manually, it will reset itself automatically and the display will return to the prior mode after refueling and traveling 5 km (3 mi). The self-diagnosis device also detects problems in the immobilizer system circuits. If a problem is detected in the immobilizer system circuits, the immobilizer system indicator light will flash and the display will indicate an error code.

This system boosts engine power by means of a valve that regulates the inner diameter of the exhaust pipe. The EXUP system valve is constantly adjusted in accordance with the engine speed by a computer-controlled servomotor. The sidestand is located on the left side of the frame.
