CHECKING THE CAMSHAFTS
1. Check:
• Camshaft lobes
Blue discoloration/pitting/scratches →
Replace the camshaft.
2. Measure:
• Camshaft lobe dimensions “a” and “b”
Out of specification → Replace the cam-
shaft.
3. Measure:
• Camshaft runout
Out of specification → Replace.
