ASSEMBLING THE CLUTCH
1. Install:
• Clutch boss
• Primary drive gear
• Clutch boss nut
2. Tighten:
• Clutch boss nut “1”
TIP
While holding the clutch boss “2” with the uni-
versal clutch holder “3”, tighten the clutch boss
nut.
3. Install:
• Clutch weights
• Thrust plate “1”
• Clutch springs
• Clutch damper springs “2”
• Clutch plates 2 “3”
• Friction plates “4”
• Clutch plates 1 “5”
• Pressure plate “6”
• Clutch spring plate “7”
TIP
• Clutch damper spring “a” installed at the end
must be installed backwards.
• The pressure plate “6” and thrust plate “1”
can be identified by punch mark “b” on the
pressure plate.
4. Install:
•Clip “1”
TIP
While compressing the clutch springs with the
clutch spring compressor “2”, install the clip.
