Installthecylinder. A ringcompressor is
usuallynotnecessary.
CAUTION:Donotturncamshaftexceptas
notedinStep4.Damage tovalvescouldresult.
4.Turnexhaustcamonly1/6turn(one flat)
clockwise, and backtoarrow - to - dotalignment.
Thiswillhelp seat thecamshaftonthebearing
surfaces.Gradually tighten capsfromleftto
right. No 1 -4 inthatorder.

CamshaftCapTorque: 1 m - kg (7 ft - lbs) I
5.Install intake camusing procedures 1-4.Turn
intakecam1/6turncounterclockwise.
2.Placecamchainoncamsprockets.Thedots on
thecamsmustbealignedwiththearrowson
the No. 1 camcaps.The No. 1 cylinder must
be at T.D.C.(The No. 1 " T " markonthegov -
ernoralignedwiththe stationary timingmark.)
3.Install a newcamchain tensioner. Remove
thetensioner cover. Loosentheadjusterbolt.
Turnthecrankshaftuntilthecamchainten -
sionerrodmovesto its inner most
position.
Tightentheadjusterboltandlock nut. Install
tensioner cover.

2.Installairscoopbrackets.
