Inspectbearingsforpittingorotherdamage.
Replacebearings if pittedordamaged.Replace
raceswhenbearingsarereplaced.
Cleanand inspect bearing races. If races are
damaged,replaceracesandbearings.
Installbearingsinraces.Spinbearings. If the
bearings hang upor are notsmooth in their
operationintheraces,replacebearingsand
races.
D. Reassembly
Greasebearingsandraceswithwheelbearing
grease.
2. Installsteeringstem(underbracket)andbear -
ings.
3. Installbottom fitting nut. Tighten toapprox -
imately1.0~1.2m - kg (7~9 ft - lbs). Do not
over - tighten.Tightentop fitting nut.
4. Continuereassemblyinreverseassemblyorder.
5.When assembly is complete,check steering
stembyturning it fromlocktolock. If there
is anybinding or looseness,readjuststeering
stem tightness.

Remove rear wheelandshockabsorbers.Grasp
theswing arm and move it fromsidetoside as
shouldbenonoticeablesideplay.
