Supplied items Features Make sure you have received all of the following items. Enjoy powerful and realistic sound from the sound bar with built-in subwoofer, and easy installation and connection to a TV and other devices. Sound bar (YAS-152) • AIR SURROUND XTREME Enjoy high-quality surround sound with a realistic sound effect (p.7). • Clear voice Make voice sound (such as dialogues and narrations) clear (p.7).

The indicators will dim automatically if no operations are performed for 5 seconds. B Remote control sensor Receives infrared signals from the remote control of the sound bar (p.6). Installations Place the sound bar on a flat surface such as on top of a TV cabinet. Removing the stands How to install on the wall When the sound bar blocks the view of the lower part of the TV screen or the remote control sensor of the TV, remove the stands (18 mm [3/4"]) of the sound bar to adjust its height. 1 Attach the mounting template on a wall and mark for the screw holes. HINT • Use the TV Remote Repeater function (p.13) to transmit TV remote control signals via the sound bar.
Connections Connect to a TV (or other peripheral device). Sound bar (rear) CAUTIONS • Do not connect the power cable of the sound bar to the AC wall outlet before making connections. • Do not use excessive force when inserting the cable plug. Doing so may damage the cable plug or AC wall outlet. 1 Power cable To AC wall outlet Connect the TV and sound bar with the optical cable (supplied). Remove the cap of the optical cable and check the direction of the plug.
Operations Preparing the remote control Peel off the protection sheet before use. Input keys Select an input source to be played back. TV ....................TV audio BD/DVD ...........Audio from a device connected to the BD/DVD input jack ANALOG .........Audio from a device connected to the ANALOG input jack PORTABLE .....Audio from a device connected to the PORTABLE input jack BLUETOOTH ..Audio from a Bluetooth connected device The indicator for the selected input source lights up.
Remote control signal transmitter Transmits infrared signals. (power) key Turns on or off (standby) the sound bar. Decoder indication CLEAR VOICE key Enables/disables the clear voice function. When this function is enabled, you can enjoy clear voice sounds while watching movies, TV dramas, news programs or sports programs. Green (turned on) The sound bar supports the following audio signals. You can check the type of the input audio signal by the color of the indicator.
Listening to the sound from a BLUETOOTH device Pairing a Bluetooth device with the sound bar You can listen to the wireless sound from a Bluetooth device, such as a smartphone or digital music player. See also the operating manual of the Bluetooth device for more details. 1 When connecting to a Bluetooth device for the first time, “pairing” between the device and sound bar is required. Once “pairing” is completed, subsequent connection will be made automatically.
Playing back audio from a Bluetooth device on the sound bar 1 Press the BLUETOOTH key on the supplied remote control to select Bluetooth as the input source. The BLUETOOTH indicator on the front panel lights up in green. Lights up 2 Using the Bluetooth standby mode The Bluetooth standby mode allows you to turn on (or off) the sound bar automatically, that interlocked by the operation of the Bluetooth device.
Listening to the sound from external devices Analog connection of an external device (game console) You can connect an external device, such as a game console, to the ANALOG input jacks of the sound bar with an RCA stereo cable. Analog connection of a portable device You can connect a portable device, such as a portable music player, to the PORTABLE input jacks of the sound bar with a 3.5 mm stereo mini plug cable. Settings 3-2 Controlling the sound bar with TV remote control (TV remote control learning function) While pointing your TV remote control at the remote control sensor, hold down the mute key for more than 1 second twice or three times. Approx. 30 cm (1 ft) You can use the TV remote control to turn on/off the sound bar or adjust its volume by having the sound bar learn the TV remote control signals.
5 5-1 Clearing all learned operations Make the sound bar learn the volume (+) operation. Press VOLUME (+) on the front panel of the sound bar. 1 5-2 While pointing your TV remote control at the remote control sensor, hold down the volume (+) key for more than 1 second twice or three times. Result Bleep/buzzer Successfully learned Once Learning has failed * Repeat from Step 5-1. Twice 6 6-1 When the sound bar is in the learning mode, the indicators on the front panel flash as shown below.
Controlling the TV via the sound bar (when the TV’s remote control sensor is blocked) When the TV Remote Repeater function is enabled, the sound bar receives TV remote control signals at the TV remote control sensor (on front) and transmits the signals from the TV Remote Repeater (on rear). This function is useful when you cannot operate your TV from the remote control because the remote control sensor of the TV is blocked by the sound bar.
Initializing the settings of the sound bar Follow the procedure below to initialize the sound bar. 1 2 Turn off the sound bar. Hold down (power) on the front panel of the sound bar for more than 3 seconds.
Troubleshooting The sound bar is blocking the 3D glasses transmitter of your TV. Check the position of the 3D glasses transmitter of your TV and adjust the position of the sound bar. If necessary, remove the stands of the sound bar (p.4). Problem Cause Remedy No sound. Another input source is selected. Select an appropriate input source (p.6). TV’s 3D glasses do not work. Refer to the table below when the unit does not function properly.
Remote control Problem Cause Remedy The sound bar cannot be controlled using the remote control. The sound bar is out of the operating range. Use the remote control within the operating range (p.6). The batteries are weak. Replace with new batteries (p.6). The remote control sensor of the sound bar is exposed to direct sunlight or strong lighting. Adjust the lighting angle, or reposition the sound bar. The TV cannot be controlled using the TV remote control.
Bluetooth Problem Cause Remedy Cannot make the sound bar paired with the Bluetooth device. BLUETOOTH is not selected as the input source. Select BLUETOOTH as the input source. The device does not support A2DP. Perform pairing operations with a device which supports A2DP. A Bluetooth adaptor, etc. that you want to pair with the sound bar has a password other than “0000”. Use a Bluetooth adaptor, etc. whose password is “0000”. The sound bar and device are too far apart.

Bluetooth • Bluetooth is a technology for wireless communication between devices within an area of about 10 meters (33 ft) employing the 2.4 GHz frequency band, a band which can be used without a license. Handling Bluetooth communications • The 2.4 GHz band used by Bluetooth compatible devices is a radio band shared by many types of equipment.

Conexiones Conecte a un TV (o a otro dispositivo periférico). Barra de sonido (parte trasera) PRECAUCIONES • No conecte el cable de alimentación de la barra de sonido a la toma de corriente de CA antes de realizar las conexiones. • No emplee demasiada fuerza al insertar el conector del cable. Si lo hace, podría dañar el conector del cable o la toma de corriente de CA. 1 Cable de alimentación A toma de CA Conecte el TV y la barra de sonido con el cable óptico (suministrado).

Transmisor de señal del mando a distancia Indicación de decodificador Transmite señales infrarrojas. Tecla CLEAR VOICE Tecla Activa o desactiva la función de claridad de voz. Cuando está función está activada, es más claro el sonido de las voces de películas, series de TV, programas de noticias y deportes, etc. (encendido) Enciende o apaga (espera) la barra de sonido. Verde (encendido) La barra de sonido admite las siguientes señales de audio.
Escuchar el sonido desde un dispositivo BLUETOOTH Puede escuchar el sonido inalámbricamente desde un dispositivo Bluetooth, por ejemplo, un smartphone o un reproductor de música digital. Consulte también el manual de instrucciones del dispositivo Bluetooth para obtener más información. Emparejado de un dispositivo Bluetooth con la barra de sonido Cuando se conecta a un dispositivo Bluetooth por primera vez, el “emparejado” entre el dispositivo y la barra de sonido es un proceso obligatorio.
Reproducción del audio desde un dispositivo Bluetooth en la barra de sonido 1 Pulse la tecla BLUETOOTH en el mando a distancia suministrado para seleccionar Bluetooth como fuente de entrada. El indicador BLUETOOTH del panel delantero se iluminará en verde. Se ilumina 2 Uso del modo de espera Bluetooth El modo de espera Bluetooth permite activar (o desactivar) la barra de sonido automáticamente, todo combinado con el funcionamiento del dispositivo Bluetooth.
Escuchar el sonido desde altavoces externos Conexión analógica de un dispositivo externo (videoconsola) Puede conectar un dispositivo externo, por ejemplo, una videoconsola, a las tomas de entrada ANALOG de la barra de sonido con un cable RCA estéreo. Conexión analógica de un dispositivo portátil Puede conectar un dispositivo portátil, por ejemplo, un reproductor de música portátil, a las tomas de entrada PORTABLE de la barra de sonido con un cable de miniclavijas estéreo de 3,5 mm.
Ajustes Controlar la barra de sonido con el mando a distancia del TV (función de memorización de mando a distancia de TV) 3-2 Dirigiendo el mando a distancia del TV hacia el sensor de mando a distancia, mantenga pulsada más de 1 segundo, dos o tres veces, la tecla de silencio. Unos 30 cm Mando a distancia de TV El mando a distancia del TV se puede usar para encender y apagar la barra de sonido, o ajustar su volumen. Para ello, la barra de sonido debe memorizar las señales del mando.
4 Memorización de funcionamiento del volumen (–) en la barra de sonido. 4-1 Pulse VOLUME (–) en el panel delantero de la barra de sonido. 4-2 Dirigiendo el mando a distancia del TV hacia el sensor de mando a distancia, mantenga pulsada más de 1 segundo, dos o tres veces, la tecla de volumen (–). Resultado Memorización correcta Error de memorización * Repita el proceso desde el paso 4-1. 5 Pitido/ zumbido Memorización de funcionamiento del encendido.
Borrar todas las operaciones memorizadas 1 Con la barra de sonido apagada, mantenga pulsada la tecla LEARN en el mando a distancia suministrado durante más de 3 segundos. (para entrar en modo de memorización) Cuando la barra de sonido está en modo de memorización, los indicadores del panel delantero parpadean como se muestra a continuación.
Uso de un altavoz de ultragraves externo La barra de sonido tiene integrados dos altavoces de ultragraves; sin embargo, es posible conectar también un altavoz de ultragraves externo. Lleve a cabo los pasos siguientes para cambiar el ajuste cuando utilice un altavoz de ultragraves externo. 1 Conecte la barra de sonido al altavoz de ultragraves externo con un cable de clavijas. Inicializar los ajustes de la barra de sonido Realice el procedimiento siguiente para inicializar la barra de sonido.
Resolución de problemas Consulte la tabla inferior cuando la unidad no funcione correctamente. Si el problema que tiene no aparece en la lista a continuación, o si las instrucciones no le sirven de ayuda, apague la unidad, desenchufe el cable de alimentación y póngase en contacto con un centro Yamaha de atención al cliente o concesionario autorizado.
No hay efecto envolvente. Se oye ruido. Está seleccionada la reproducción en estéreo. Seleccione la reproducción envolvente (p.7). El volumen está demasiado bajo. Suba el volumen (p.6). El TV o el dispositivo de reproducción está ajustado para producir solo audio de 2 canales (como PCM). Cambie el ajuste de la salida de audio digital del TV o el dispositivo de reproducción. La barra de sonido está demasiado cerca de otro dispositivo digital o de alta frecuencia.
Bluetooth Problema Causa Solución No es posible emparejar la barra de sonido con el dispositivo Bluetooth. BLUETOOTH no se puede seleccionar como fuente de entrada. Seleccione BLUETOOTH como fuente de entrada. El dispositivo no admite A2DP. Lleve a cabo el emparejado con un dispositivo que admita A2DP. Un adaptador Bluetooth, etc. que quiera emparejar con la barra de sonido tiene una contraseña distinta de “0000”. Utilice un adaptador Bluetooth, etc. cuya contraseña sea “0000”.
