Supplied items Features Make sure you have received all of the following items. Enjoy powerful and realistic sound from the sound bar with built-in subwoofer, and easy installation and connection to a TV and other devices. Sound bar (YAS-152) • AIR SURROUND XTREME Enjoy high-quality surround sound with a realistic sound effect (p.7). • Clear voice Make voice sound (such as dialogues and narrations) clear (p.7).

Installations Place the sound bar on a flat surface such as on top of a TV cabinet. Removing the stands How to install on the wall When the sound bar blocks the view of the lower part of the TV screen or the remote control sensor of the TV, remove the stands (18 mm [3/4"]) of the sound bar to adjust its height. 1 Attach the mounting template on a wall and mark for the screw holes. HINT • Use the TV Remote Repeater function (p.13) to transmit TV remote control signals via the sound bar.
Connections Connect to a TV (or other peripheral device). Sound bar (rear) CAUTIONS • Do not connect the power cable of the sound bar to the AC wall outlet before making connections. • Do not use excessive force when inserting the cable plug. Doing so may damage the cable plug or AC wall outlet. 1 Power cable To AC wall outlet Connect the TV and sound bar with the optical cable (supplied). Remove the cap of the optical cable and check the direction of the plug.
Operations Preparing the remote control Peel off the protection sheet before use. Input keys Select an input source to be played back. TV ....................TV audio BD/DVD ...........Audio from a device connected to the BD/DVD input jack ANALOG .........Audio from a device connected to the ANALOG input jack PORTABLE .....Audio from a device connected to the PORTABLE input jack BLUETOOTH ..Audio from a Bluetooth connected device The indicator for the selected input source lights up.
Remote control signal transmitter Transmits infrared signals. (power) key Turns on or off (standby) the sound bar. Decoder indication CLEAR VOICE key Enables/disables the clear voice function. When this function is enabled, you can enjoy clear voice sounds while watching movies, TV dramas, news programs or sports programs. Green (turned on) The sound bar supports the following audio signals. You can check the type of the input audio signal by the color of the indicator.
Listening to the sound from a BLUETOOTH device Pairing a Bluetooth device with the sound bar You can listen to the wireless sound from a Bluetooth device, such as a smartphone or digital music player. See also the operating manual of the Bluetooth device for more details. 1 When connecting to a Bluetooth device for the first time, “pairing” between the device and sound bar is required. Once “pairing” is completed, subsequent connection will be made automatically.
Playing back audio from a Bluetooth device on the sound bar 1 Press the BLUETOOTH key on the supplied remote control to select Bluetooth as the input source. The BLUETOOTH indicator on the front panel lights up in green. Lights up 2 Using the Bluetooth standby mode The Bluetooth standby mode allows you to turn on (or off) the sound bar automatically, that interlocked by the operation of the Bluetooth device.
Listening to the sound from external devices Analog connection of an external device (game console) You can connect an external device, such as a game console, to the ANALOG input jacks of the sound bar with an RCA stereo cable. Analog connection of a portable device You can connect a portable device, such as a portable music player, to the PORTABLE input jacks of the sound bar with a 3.5 mm stereo mini plug cable. Settings 3-2 Controlling the sound bar with TV remote control (TV remote control learning function) While pointing your TV remote control at the remote control sensor, hold down the mute key for more than 1 second twice or three times. Approx. 30 cm (1 ft) You can use the TV remote control to turn on/off the sound bar or adjust its volume by having the sound bar learn the TV remote control signals.
5 5-1 Clearing all learned operations Make the sound bar learn the volume (+) operation. Press VOLUME (+) on the front panel of the sound bar. 1 5-2 While pointing your TV remote control at the remote control sensor, hold down the volume (+) key for more than 1 second twice or three times. Controlling the TV via the sound bar (when the TV’s remote control sensor is blocked) When the TV Remote Repeater function is enabled, the sound bar receives TV remote control signals at the TV remote control sensor (on front) and transmits the signals from the TV Remote Repeater (on rear). This function is useful when you cannot operate your TV from the remote control because the remote control sensor of the TV is blocked by the sound bar.
Initializing the settings of the sound bar Follow the procedure below to initialize the sound bar. 1 2 Turn off the sound bar. Hold down (power) on the front panel of the sound bar for more than 3 seconds.
Troubleshooting The sound bar is blocking the 3D glasses transmitter of your TV. Check the position of the 3D glasses transmitter of your TV and adjust the position of the sound bar. If necessary, remove the stands of the sound bar (p.4). Problem Cause Remedy No sound. Another input source is selected. Select an appropriate input source (p.6). TV’s 3D glasses do not work. Refer to the table below when the unit does not function properly.
Remote control Problem Cause Remedy The sound bar cannot be controlled using the remote control. The sound bar is out of the operating range. Use the remote control within the operating range (p.6). The batteries are weak. Replace with new batteries (p.6). The remote control sensor of the sound bar is exposed to direct sunlight or strong lighting. Adjust the lighting angle, or reposition the sound bar. The TV cannot be controlled using the TV remote control.
Bluetooth Problem Cause Remedy Cannot make the sound bar paired with the Bluetooth device. BLUETOOTH is not selected as the input source. Select BLUETOOTH as the input source. The device does not support A2DP. Perform pairing operations with a device which supports A2DP. A Bluetooth adaptor, etc. that you want to pair with the sound bar has a password other than “0000”. Use a Bluetooth adaptor, etc. whose password is “0000”. The sound bar and device are too far apart.

Bluetooth • Bluetooth is a technology for wireless communication between devices within an area of about 10 meters (33 ft) employing the 2.4 GHz frequency band, a band which can be used without a license. Handling Bluetooth communications • The 2.4 GHz band used by Bluetooth compatible devices is a radio band shared by many types of equipment.

Installations Placez la barre de son sur une surface plane, sur le coffret d’un téléviseur par exemple. Retrait des supports Si la barre de son obstrue la vue de la partie inférieure de l’écran du téléviseur ou du capteur de la télécommande sur le téléviseur, retirez les supports (18 mm) de la barre de son pour en ajuster la hauteur. Procédure d’installation sur un mur 1 Fixez le gabarit pour montage sur le mur et marquez l’emplacement des trous de vis.

Écoute du son à partir d’un appareil BLUETOOTH Jumelage d’un appareil Bluetooth avec la barre de son Vous pouvez reproduire le son d’un appareil Bluetooth, notamment d’un téléphone portable ou d’un lecteur audio portable. Consultez également le mode d’emploi de l’appareil Bluetooth pour plus d’informations. 1 Lorsque vous connectez pour la première fois un appareil Bluetooth, vous devez « jumeler » l’appareil et la barre de son.
Lecture du son d’un appareil Bluetooth sur la barre de son 1 Appuyez sur la touche BLUETOOTH de la télécommande fournie pour sélectionner la source d’entrée Bluetooth. Utilisation du mode veille Bluetooth Le mode veille Bluetooth permet de mettre sous ou hors tension la barre de son automatiquement, dont le fonctionnement était verrouillé par l’utilisation de l’appareil Bluetooth. Mode de réglage Le témoin BLUETOOTH s’allume en vert sur le panneau avant.
Écoute du son à partir d’appareils externes Connexion analogique d’un appareil externe (console de jeux) Vous pouvez raccorder un appareil externe, par exemple une console de jeux, aux prises d’entrée ANALOG de la barre de son à l’aide d’un câble stéréo RCA. Connexion analogique d’un appareil portable Vous pouvez raccorder un appareil portable, notamment un lecteur audio portable, aux prises d’entrée PORTABLE de la barre de son à l’aide d’un câble stéréo avec mini-prise de 3,5 mm.
Réglages Contrôle de la barre de son avec la télécommande du téléviseur (fonction d’apprentissage de la télécommande du téléviseur) 3-2 Tout en pointant la télécommande du téléviseur vers le capteur, maintenez la touche MUTE enfoncée pendant plus d’1 seconde, deux ou trois fois. Env.
4 Apprenez le réglage du volume (–) à la barre de son. Apprenez la mise sous/hors tension à la barre de son. Appuyez sur la touche VOLUME (–) située sur le panneau avant de la barre de son. 6-1 Appuyez sur la touche barre de son. 4-2 Tout en pointant la télécommande du téléviseur vers le capteur, maintenez la touche de volume (–) enfoncée pendant plus d’une seconde, deux ou trois fois.
Effacer toutes les opérations apprises 1 Lorsque la barre de son est hors tension, maintenez enfoncée la touche LEARN de la télécommande fournie pendant plus de 3 secondes (pour activer le mode d’apprentissage). Une fois la barre de son en mode apprentissage, les témoins situés sur le panneau avant clignotent comme illustré ci-dessous.
Utilisation d’un caisson de graves externe La barre de son dispose de deux caissons de graves intégrés ; vous pouvez néanmoins raccorder un caisson de graves externe. Pour modifier ce réglage en vue d’utiliser un caisson de graves externe, procédez comme suit. 1 Raccordez la barre de son au caisson de graves externe à l’aide d’un câble à broches. Initialisation des réglages de la barre de son Procédez comme suit pour initialiser la barre de son. 1 2 Mettez la barre de son hors tension.
Guide de dépannage La barre de son fonctionne toute seule. Un autre appareil Bluetooth est en cours de fonctionnement à proximité de la barre de son. Désactivez la connexion Bluetooth de la barre de son et connectez à nouveau la barre de son et l’appareil. Reportez-vous au tableau suivant si l’appareil ne fonctionne pas convenablement.
