Switching between the remote controls of the TV and sound bar is inconvenient. A1 Yes.

Installation Place the sound bar on a flat surface such as on top of a TV cabinet. Place the subwoofer to the outside of the sound bar. To avoid echoes from the wall, face the front side of the subwoofer slightly inward. HINT • If it is difficult to operate the TV, use the TV Remote Repeater function (p.14) to transmit the TV’s remote control signal via sound bar.
Connections Connect to a TV (or other peripheral device). Sound bar (rear) Cautions • Make sure that the power cables of the sound bar and subwoofer are not connected to AC wall outlets when you start making connections. • Do not use excessive force when inserting the cable plug. Analog connection of an external device (game console) You can connect an external device, such as a game console or TV that does not have an optical output, to the ANALOG input jacks of the sound bar. Wireless connection with the subwoofer When the power cables of the sound bar and subwoofer are connected to AC wall outlets (p.6) and the sound bar is turned on, the sound bar and subwoofer are connected automatically.

Listening to the sound from a Bluetooth device You can play back wirelessly from Bluetooth devices, such as smartphones or digital music players. See also the operating manual of the Bluetooth device for more details. Pairing a Bluetooth device with the sound bar When connecting to a Bluetooth device for the first time, “pairing” between the device and sound bar is required. “Pairing” is necessary for each Bluetooth device you use.
Playing back audio from a Bluetooth device on the sound bar 1 With the sound bar turned on, press the BLUETOOTH key on the sound bar’s remote control to select Bluetooth as the input source. The BLUETOOTH indicator on the front panel lights up in green. Using the Bluetooth standby mode The Bluetooth standby mode allows you to turn on (or off) the sound bar automatically, that interlocked by the operation of the Bluetooth device.
Settings 4-2 While pointing your TV’s remote control at the remote control sensor, hold down the mute key for more than 1 second twice or three times. Sending the TV’s remote signal through the sound bar (TV Remote Repeater function) When the TV Remote Repeater function is enabled, the sound bar relays the TV’s remote signal received by the front sensor to the rear transmitter. This function should be enabled when you place the sound bar in front of your TV and you cannot operate your TV with the TV’s remote control. This function is available only when your TV’s remote control uses infrared signals.
Troubleshooting Refer to the table below when the sound bar does not function properly. If the problem you are experiencing is not listed below or if the instructions below do not help, turn off the sound bar, disconnect the power cable, and contact the nearest authorized Yamaha dealer or service center. First, check the following: A The power cables of the sound bar, subwoofer, TV and playback devices (such as BD players) are connected to AC wall outlets securely.
No sound is coming from the subwoofer. (The SUBWOOFER indicator on the front panel of the sound bar is flashing.) The subwoofer is not connected to an AC wall outlet. (The STATUS indicator on the subwoofer is not lit.) Plug in the power cable of the subwoofer to an AC wall outlet. The sound bar and subwoofer are not connected due to a bad wireless communication status. (The STATUS indicator on the subwoofer continues to be lit in red or flash in green.) Move the subwoofer closer to the sound bar.
Remote control Problem Cause Remedy The sound bar cannot be controlled using the remote control. The sound bar is out of the operating range. Use the remote control within the operating range (p.2). The batteries are weak. Replace with new batteries (p.2). The remote control sensor of the sound bar is exposed to direct sunlight or strong lighting. Adjust the lighting angle, or reposition the sound bar. The TV cannot be controlled using the TV’s remote control.
Bluetooth The Bluetooth connection of the sound bar with the device is disconnected. Perform Bluetooth connection operations again (p.10). Bluetooth is not selected as the input source. Select Bluetooth as the input source. Problem Cause Remedy Cannot make the sound bar paired with the Bluetooth device. Bluetooth is not selected as the input source. Select Bluetooth as the input source. The device does not support A2DP. Perform pairing operations with a device which supports A2DP.
Pairing the sound bar and subwoofer manually 1 With the sound bar turned on, hold down the SUBWOOFER PAIRING key on the sound bar’s remote control for more than 3 seconds. The SUBWOOFER indicator on the front panel of the sound bar flashes rapidly. 2 Within 30 seconds, push the SUBWOOFER PAIRING button on the rear panel of the subwoofer for more than 3 seconds with a tapered object such as a hairpin. The STATUS indicator on the rear panel of the subwoofer flashes rapidly in green.

Installation Placez la barre de son sur une surface plane, sur le coffret d’un téléviseur par exemple. Placez le caisson de graves à l’extérieur de la barre de son. Pour éviter que le mur ne renvoie un écho, tournez la face avant du caisson de graves légèrement vers l’intérieur. ASTUCE • S’il est difficile d’utiliser le téléviseur, utilisez la fonction de répétition de la télécommande du téléviseur (p.14) pour transmettre le signal de la télécommande du téléviseur en passant par la barre de son.

Connexion analogique d’un appareil externe (console de jeux) Vous pouvez raccorder un appareil externe, comme une console de jeu vidéo ou un téléviseur qui ne dispose pas de sortie optique, aux prises d’entrée ANALOG de la barre de son. Connexion sans fil avec le caisson de graves Lorsque les câbles d’alimentation de la barre de son et du caisson de graves sont branchés à des prises secteur (p.6) et que la barre de son est sous tension, la barre de son et le caisson de graves se connectent automatiquement.

Écoute du son à partir d’un appareil Bluetooth Vous pouvez reproduire sans fil le son des appareils Bluetooth, comme les smartphones ou les lecteurs audio numériques. Consultez également le mode d’emploi de l’appareil Bluetooth pour plus d’informations. Jumelage d’un appareil Bluetooth avec la barre de son Lorsque vous connectez pour la première fois un appareil Bluetooth, vous devez « jumeler » l’appareil et la barre de son. Il est nécessaire de « jumeler » tous les appareils Bluetooth que vous utilisez.
Lecture du son d’un appareil Bluetooth sur la barre de son Utilisation du mode veille Bluetooth 1 Le mode veille Bluetooth permet de mettre sous ou hors tension la barre de son automatiquement, dont le fonctionnement était verrouillé par l’utilisation de l’appareil Bluetooth. Lorsque la barre de son est sous tension, appuyez sur la touche BLUETOOTH de la télécommande de la barre de son pour sélectionner la source d’entrée Bluetooth. Le témoin BLUETOOTH s’allume en vert sur le panneau avant.
Réglages 4-2 Tout en pointant la télécommande du téléviseur vers le capteur, maintenez la touche MUTE enfoncée pendant plus d’1 seconde, deux ou trois fois. Programmation de la barre de son avec la télécommande du téléviseur (fonction d’apprentissage de la télécommande du téléviseur) Env.
6 6-1 Apprenez à la barre de son le code « Volume (+) » de la télécommande du téléviseur. 8 Appuyez sur la touche VOLUME (+) située sur le panneau avant de la barre de son. Pour quitter le mode d’apprentissage, appuyez sur la touche LEARN de la télécommande de la barre de son. Tous les réglages nécessaires sont maintenant terminés. Vous pouvez désormais contrôler la barre de son à l’aide des touches « silencieux », de volume ou de mise sous/hors tension de la télécommande du téléviseur.
Envoi du signal de la télécommande du téléviseur en passant par la barre de son (fonction de répétition de la télécommande du téléviseur) Lorsque la fonction de répétition de la télécommande du téléviseur est activée, la barre de son renvoie le signal de la télécommande du téléviseur reçu par le capteur avant vers le transmetteur situé à l’arrière.
Guide de dépannage Reportez-vous au tableau suivant si la barre de son ne fonctionne pas convenablement. Si l’anomalie constatée n’est pas mentionnée, ou encore si les actions correctives suggérées sont sans effet, mettez la barre de son hors tension, débranchez la fiche du câble d’alimentation et prenez contact avec le revendeur ou le centre d’entretien Yamaha agréé.
Le caisson de graves n’émet aucun son. (Le témoin SUBWOOFER situé sur le panneau avant de la barre de son clignote.) Le caisson de graves n’est pas branché à une prise secteur. (Le témoin STATUS situé sur le caisson de graves n’est pas allumé.) Branchez le câble d’alimentation du caisson de graves à une prise secteur. La barre de son et le caisson de graves ne sont pas connectés en raison du mauvais état de la communication sans fil.
Aucun effet de surround. Présence de bruit. La lecture stéréo est sélectionnée. Sélectionnez la lecture surround (p.9). Le volume est trop bas. Augmentez le volume (p.8). Le téléviseur ou l’appareil de lecture est réglé pour restituer uniquement un son à 2 canaux (PCM par exemple). Modifiez le réglage de la sortie audio numérique du téléviseur ou de l’appareil de lecture en mode Dolby Digital ou BitStream. Le son est émis par les enceintes intégrées du téléviseur.
Vous n’avez pas maintenu la touche de la télécommande du téléviseur assez longtemps. Maintenez la touche enfoncée pendant plus d’1 seconde, deux ou trois fois (p.12). La télécommande du téléviseur n’utilise pas de signaux infrarouges. (Certaines télécommandes peuvent ne pas fonctionner, même si elles utilisent des signaux infrarouges.) La fonction d’apprentissage de la télécommande du téléviseur ne peut pas être utilisée dans ce cas. Utilisez la télécommande fournie pour contrôler la barre de son.
Absence de son ou interruption du son pendant la lecture. La connexion Bluetooth de la barre de son avec l’appareil est désactivée. Renouvelez la connexion Bluetooth (p.10). Vous n’avez pas sélectionné la source d’entrée Bluetooth. Sélectionnez la source d’entrée Bluetooth. La barre de son et l’appareil sont trop éloignés. Rapprochez l’appareil de la barre de son. Un appareil à proximité (four à micro-ondes, réseau local sans fil, etc.) émet des signaux de sortie dans la bande de fréquences 2,4 GHz.
