ADJUSTING THE PARKING BRAKE/
CHECKING THE BRAKE FLUID LEVEL
2. Adjust:
• parking brake cable end length
▼▼▼▼ ▼ ▼▼▼▼ ▼ ▼▼▼▼ ▼ ▼▼▼▼ ▼ ▼▼▼▼ ▼ ▼▼▼▼ ▼▼▼
a. Loosen the locknut 1 and adjusting bolt 2.
b. Slide back the rubber cover 3.
c. Loosen the locknut 4.
d. Turn the adjusting nut 5 in direction a or
b until the specified brake cable end length
is obtained.
e. Tighten the locknut.
f. Slowly turn the adjusting bolt clockwise until
resistance is felt.
g. Turn it 1/8 counterclockwise.
h. Tighten the locknut 1.
i. Slide the rubber cover to its original posi-
tion.
WARNING
After this adjustment is performed, lift the
rear wheels off the ground by placing a
block under the engine, and spin the rear
wheels to ensure there is no brake drag. If
any brake drag is noticed perform the
above steps again.

CHECKING THE BRAKE FLUID LEVEL
1. Place the machine on a level surface.
NOTE:
_
When checking the brake fluid level, make
sure that the top of the brake fluid reservoir top
is horizontal.
