ADJUSTING THE DRIVE CHAIN SLACK
NOTE:
Measure the drive chain slack halfway
between the drive axle and the rear axle.
CAUTION:
A drive chain that is too tight will overload
the engine and other vital parts, and one
that is too loose can skip and damage the
swingarm or cause an accident. Therefore,
keep the drive chain slack within the speci-
fied limits.
1. Elevate the rear wheels by placing the suit-
able stand under the frame.
2. Measure:

a. Loosen the hub nuts 1.
b. Loosen the locknuts 2.
c. Turn both adjusting bolts 3 in direction a
or b until the specified drive chain slack is
obtained.
NOTE:
To maintain the proper axle alignment, adjust
both sides evenly. (There are marks c on
each side of hub.)
