ADJUSTING THE ENGINE IDLING SPEED/
ADJUSTING THE THROTTLE LEVER FREE PLAY
6. Adjust:
• engine idling speed

a. Turn the throttle stop screw 1 in direction
a or b until the specified idling speed is
obtained.

7. Remove:
• fuel tank
NOTE:
Slide the fuel tank.
8. Detach:
• engine tachometer
9. Install:
• fuel tank
• side covers (left and right)
• fuel tank cover
• seat
Refer to “SEAT, FENDERS AND FUEL
TANK”.
10.Adjust:
• throttle lever free play
Refer to “ADJUSTING THE THROTTLE
LEVER FREE PLAY”.

Throttle lever free play
2 ~ 4 mm (0.08 ~ 0.16 in)

Engine idling speed should be adjusted prop-
erly before adjusting the throttle lever free
play.
