ADJUSTING THE THROTTLE LEVER FREE PLAY
1. Measure:
• throttle lever free play a
Out of specification → Adjust.
Throttle lever free play
2 ~ 4 mm (0.08 ~ 0.16 in)
2. Adjust:
• throttle lever free play
▼▼▼▼ ▼ ▼▼▼▼ ▼ ▼▼▼▼ ▼ ▼▼▼▼ ▼ ▼▼▼▼ ▼ ▼▼▼▼ ▼▼▼
First step:
a. Slide back the rubber cover 1.
b. Loosen the locknut 2 on the carburetor
side.
c. Turn the adjusting nut 3 in direction a or
b until the correct free play is obtained.
d. Tighten the locknut.
e. Slide the rubber cover to its original posi-
tion.
NOTE:
_
If the free play cannot be adjusted here, adjust
it at the throttle lever side of the cable.

Second step:
f. Slide back the rubber cover 4.
g. Loosen the locknut 5.
h. Turn the adjusting bolt 6 in direction c or
d until the correct free play is obtained.
i. Tighten the locknut.
j. Slide the rubber cover to its original posi-
tion.
WARNING

After adjusting the free play, turn the han-
dlebar to the right and left to make sure
that the engine idling speed does not
increase.
