ADJUSTING THE CLUTCH CABLE
2. Adjust:
• clutch release lever free play
▼▼▼▼ ▼ ▼▼▼▼ ▼ ▼▼▼▼ ▼ ▼▼▼▼ ▼ ▼▼▼▼ ▼ ▼▼▼▼ ▼▼▼
Handlebar side
a. Turn the adjusting nut 1 in direction a or
b until the specified clutch cable free play
is obtained.
NOTE:
_
If the specified clutch cable free play cannot be
obtained on the handlebar side of the cable,
use the adjusting nut on the engine side.

Clutch cable free play is
increased.

Clutch cable free play is
decreased.

Engine side
a. Slide back the rubber cover 2.
b. Loosen the locknut 3.
c. Turn the adjusting nut 4 in direction c or
d until the specified clutch cable free play
is obtained.
d. Tighten the locknut.
e. Slide the rubber cover to its original posi-
tion.
