Instalación Conexiones eléctricas Utilización de un adaptador de alimentación de CA ........... ZAsegúrese de que el interruptor de la alimentación STANDBY/ON del YPP-100 se encuentra en la posición STANDBY. XConecte el adaptador de CA (PA-5D, PA-5C u otro adaptador recomendado específicamente por Yamaha) a la toma de la fuente de alimentación. CConecte el adaptador de CA a una toma de corriente.
Instalación Empleo de los conectores MIDI IN y OUT .................................... Secuenciador El conector MIDI recibe los datos MIDI desde un dispositivo MIDI externo que pueden utilizarse para controlar la YPP-100. Aquí se indica cómo se pueden seleccionar y reproducir las canciones de demostración. • El modo de demostración o de canción preajustada no podrá activarse mientras se esté reproduciendo una canción del usuario (página 23).

Reproducción de las canciones de demostración Cancelación de partes de una canción preajustada Las 20 canciones preajustadas tienen partes separadas de las manos izquierda y derecha que pueden activarse y desactivarse como se requiere para practicar la parte correspondiente en el teclado. La parte de la mano derecha la pista TRACK [1], y la parte de la mano izquierda la reproduce la pista TRACK [2]. El modo dual El modo dual hace posible tocar dos voces simultáneamente por todo el margen del teclado. Para activar el modo dual, presione simplemente dos selectores de voz al mismo tiempo (o presione un selector de voz mientras mantiene otro presionado). Los indicadores de voz de ambas voces seleccionadas se encenderán cuando el modo dual esté activado. Para volver al modo de interpretación normal de una voz, presione cualquier selector de voz sencillo.
Reverberación El botón [REVERB] selecciona cierto números de efectos de reverberación que usted podrá utilizar para mayor profundidad y fuerza de expresión. Para seleccionar un tipo de reverberación, presione el botón [REVERB] algunas veces hasta que se encienda el indicador correspondiente al tipo deseado (los indicadores se encienden en secuencia cada vez que se presiona el botón [REVERB]). No se producirá ninguna reverberación cuando todos los indicadores estén apagados.
El efecto El botón [EFFECT] le permitirá seleccionar uno de los efectos que puede dar mayor profundidad y animación al sonido. Para seleccionar un tipo de efecto, presione el botón [EFFECT] algunas veces hasta que el indicador correspondiente al tipo deseado se encienda (los indicadores se encienden en secuencia cada vez que se presiona el botón [EFFECT]. No se produce ningún efecto cuando todos los indicadores están apagados. OFF No se selecciona ningún efecto cuando el indicador EFFECT está encendido.
Sensibilidad a la pulsación Se pueden seleccionar cuatro tipos diferentes de sensibilidad de pulsación — HARD (dura), MEDIUM (media), SOFT (suave) o FIXED (fija) para adaptar los distintos estilos de interpretación y preferencias personales. Para seleccionar un tipo de sensibilidad de pulsación presione el botón [TOUCH] algunas veces hasta que se encienda el indicador correspondiente al tipo deseado (los indicadores se encienden en secuencia cada vez que se presiona el botón [TOUCH]).
Transposición La función TRANSPOSE de la YPP-100 hace posible desplazar el tono de todo el teclado ascendente o descendentemente en intervalos de semitono hasta un máximo de 12 semitonos (es decir, un máximo de una octava ascendente o descendentemente). La “transposición” del tono del teclado de la YPP-100 facilita la interpretación en claves difíciles, y podrá adaptar con facilidad el tono del teclado al alcance del cantante u otro instrumento.
El metrónomo y el control del tempo El metrónomo incorporado de la YPP-100 es una característica útil para la práctica, y puede proporcionar además una sólida guía rítmica cuando se graba usando la característica de la grabadora de canciones del usuario, que se describe en la sección siguiente. El metrónomo El sonido del metrónomo se activa y desactiva mediante la presión del botón METRONOME [START/STOP]. Cuando el metrónomo está activado, el indicador de compás parpadea al tiempo actual.
Empleo de la grabadora de canciones de usuario La capacidad de grabar y reproducir lo que se toca en el teclado del YPP-100 es muy eficaz como ayuda de ensayo. Por ejemplo, podrá grabar sólo la parte de la mano izquierda, y practicar la parte de la mano derecha mientras se reproduce la parte de la mano izquierda grabada.
Empleo de la grabadora de canciones de usuario Inicie la grabación ............................................................................................. La grabación se iniciará automáticamente así que usted toque una nota en el teclado o presione el botón SONG [START/STOP]. El número de compás actual aparecerá en el visualizador durante la grabación.
Empleo de la grabadora de canciones de usuario Reproducción Para reproducir lo que usted ha grabado, asegúrese primero que estén encendidos los indicadores de pista verdes de las pistas que desea reproducir. Si no lo están, presione los botones de pista correspondientes para que se enciendan. Luego, presione el botón SONG [START/STOP]. La reproducción se inicia desde el principio de los datos grabados, y se detiene automáticamente al terminar los datos grabados.

Modo de Función F1 Afinación Después de haber seleccionado “F1”, emplee los botones [–/NO] y [+/YES] para bajar o subir el tono en incrementos de aproximadamente 0,2 Hz (la primera vez que se presiona el botón [–/NO] o [+/YES] se cambia simplemente a la visualización del valor de afinación sin realizar en realidad el cambio de la afinación). El margen de afinación total es desde 427,0 Hz a 453,0 Hz (correspondiente a los Hz de la nota A3).
Modo de Función F3 Funciones del modo dual Después de haber seleccionado “F3.Y”, presione el botón [+/YES] para activar el modo secundario de la función dual, y emplee entonces los botones [TEMPO/FUNCTION ▼, ▲] para seleccionar la función del modo dual deseada, según se enumera abajo. Si no se activa el modo dual, aparecerá “F3.-” en lugar de “F3.Y” y no podrán seleccionarse las funciones del modo dual.
Modo de Función F3.5: Profundidad de efecto de la primera voz .................................................................... F3.6: Profundidad de efecto de la segunda voz .................................................................. Estas funciones hacen posible ajustar individualmente la profundidad del efecto para la primera y segunda voces del modo dual (“primera” y “segunda” se explican en la página 17).
Modo de Función F7 Funciones MIDI Después de seleccionar “F7.Y”, presione el botón [+/YES] para activar el modo secundario de la función MIDI, y emplee entonces los botones [TEMPO/FUNCTION ▼, ▲] para seleccionar la función MIDI deseada, según se enumera abajo. • Emplee siempre un cable MIDI de alta calidad para conectar los terminales MIDI OUT a MIDI IN. No emplee nunca cables MIDI más largos de unos 15 metros, porque los cables más largos pueden captar ruido, lo cual puede ocasionar errores de datos. F7.
Modo de Función F7.3: Activación/desactivación de control local ................................................................. MIDI OUT MIDI IN Generador de tonos YPP-100 El “control local” se refiere al hecho de que, normalmente, el teclado de la YPP-100 controla su generador de tonos interno, permitiendo que las voces internas puedan reproducirse directamente desde el teclado.
Modo de Función F7.5: Activación/desactivación de cambio de control .................................................. Normalmente, la YPP-100 responde a los datos de cambio de control recibidos desde un teclado externo u otro dispositivo MIDI, causando que la voz del canal correspondiente quede afectada por ajustes de pedal y otros de “control” recibidos desde el dispositivo de control (la voz del teclado no queda afectada).

Empleo de las funciones MIDI El YPP-100 es compatible con MIDI y está provisto de terminales MIDI IN y OUT que ofrecen una amplia variedad de controles relacionados con MIDI. Empleando las funciones MIDI podrá ampliar sus posibilidades musicales. En esta sección se explica qué es MIDI y lo que ofrece, así como la forma en que puede emplear el MIDI en su YPP-100. ¿Qué es el MIDI? Sin duda alguna, usted habrá oído hablar de “instrumentos acústicos” y de “instrumentos digitales”.
Empleo de las funciones MIDI MIDI corresponde a las siglas inglesas de interfaz digital para instrumentos musicales (Musical Instrument Digital Interface), que permite la comunicación entre instrumentos musicales electrónicos transmitiendo y recibiendo datos de notas, cambio de control, cambio de programa y otros tipos de datos o mensajes MIDI. El YPP-100 puede controlar un dispositivo MIDI transmitiendo los datos relacionados con las notas y diversos tipos de datos de controlador.
Empleo de las funciones MIDI Conexión a un ordenador personal Conectando los terminales MIDI de su YPP-100 un ordenador personal, podrá tener acceso a una amplia variedad de software musical. Cuando emplee un dispositivo de interfaz MIDI instalado en el ordenador personal, conecte los terminales MIDI del ordenador al YPP-100. Emplee sólo cables MIDI especiales para conectar dispositivos MIDI. ● Conecte los terminales MIDI del YPP-100 los terminales MIDI del ordenador personal.
