INSTALLING THE PISTON AND CYLINDER
1. Install:
• piston ring

• Take care not to scratch the piston or damage
the piston ring.
• Align the piston ring gap with the pin .
• After installing the piston ring, check the
smooth movement of it.
2. Install:
• gasket (cylinder)
• small end bearing
(with the recomended lubricant)
• dowel pin
3. Install:
•piston
• piston pin
• piston pin clip

• Apply engine oil the piston pin.
• Make sure the arrow mark on the piston
points towards the exhaust side of the cylin-
der.
• Before installing the piston pin clip, cover the
crankcase opening with a clean rag to pre-
vent the clip from falling into the crankcase.
• Do not allow the clip open ends to meet the
piston pin slat .
