ASSEMBLY THE REED VALVE
1. Install:
• reed valve
• reed valve stopper
• screw (reed valve)

• Install the reed valve with the reed valve
bending as shown.
• Note the cut in the lower corner of the reed
valve and stopper.
• Tighten each screw gradually to avoid warp-
ing.

ASSEMBLING THE CARBURETOR
CAUTION:
• Before assembling the carburetor, wash
all of the parts in a petroleum-based sol-
vent.
• Always use a new gasket.
1. Install:
• pilot air screw
• throttle stop screw

• Turn in the pilot air screw until it is lightly
seated.
• Turn out the pilot air screw by the number of
turns recorded before removing.
1 Nm (0.1 m•kg, 0.7 ft•lb)
