ADJUSTING THE REAR BRAKE
1. Check:
• brake pedal height
Out of specification → Adjust.
2. Adjust:
• brake pedal height
a. Loosen the locknut .
b. Turn the adjusting nut in direction or
until the specified brake pedal position is
obtained.
WARNING
Adjust the pedal height between the maxi-
mum and the minimum as shown. (In
this adjustment, the bolt end should
protrude out of the lower adjusting nut
but not be less than 2.0 mm (0.08 in)
away from the brake pedal ).
c. Tighten the locknut to specification.
CAUTION:
After adjusting the brake pedal position,
make sure there is no brake drag.
Brake pedal height
4.0 ~ 10.0 mm (0.16 ~ 0.39 in)
Direction Brake pedal is raised.
Direction Brake pedal is lowered.
Locknut
17 Nm (1.7 m•kg, 12 ft•lb)
