Chain Link Fence Gate
How much space do I allow for my gate?
The gate opening should allow space for the gate itself as well as 2" on each side for gate hardware. If
purchasing a driveway gate, the gate opening should allow space for the two gate panels as well as 2"
on each side for the gate hardware and 2" between the panels for the latch
Yes your gate comes pre-assembled. Your gate will come with hardware for the gate only. The hardware for
the posts and the posts themselves will need to be purchased separately. The only gates that do not come
preassembled are the adjustable gates as these will need to be adjusted to fit your gate opening.
While yes, your gate can be installed on a wooden post, we recommend using the appropriate chain link gate
hardware and posts. If you are attaching the gate to a wooden post you would need to purchase a lag screw
hinge and a frame hinge.
There is no way to attach the two panels together so you would need to order a single panel through the THD
special order program.
Besides the galvanized version, the chain link gates come in a black, green, and white vinyl coating.
Check with your local store to see if your color is in stock or can be special ordered.
