Asnotedinthe‘ChargingtheLiPoFlightBattery’sectionofthismanual,youcanchargethebattery
whileit’sinstalledinthehelicopteroryoucanremoveandchargeitseparately(or‘swap’itwitha
sparebatterythat’salreadybeenchargedseparately).ToremovetheLiPoflightbatteryyou’llfirst
needtoremovethecanopy.Carefullypulltheleftandrightendsofthecanopyoffofthemounts
thenslowlyslideitforwardtoexposethebattery,controlunitandwireleads.
IMPORTANTNOTE:TheLEDmountedinthecanopyisnotintendedtoberemoved.Becarefulto
notdamagethewireleadsthatconnecttotheLEDwhenremoving(andinstalling)thecanopy.
Also,youcandisconnectthewireleadsandconnectorfromthecontrolunitentirelyifpreferred
(thoughweDONOTrecommenddisconnectingandreconnectingoftenasitcandamagethe
connectorsand/orcontrolunitovertime).
DisconnecttheLiPoflightbatteryfromthewireleadsandconnectorattachedtothecontrolunit,
thencarefullyremoveitfromthemount(slideitupwardswhilegrippingthesidesofthebattery,DO
NOTpullonthewireleads!).Thebatterycannowbechargedseparatefromthehelicopter.
AftertheLiPobatteryhasbeenfullychargedit’sreadytobeinstalledinthehelicopter.Installthe
batterybyslidingitbackintothemountwiththewireleadsorientedupward.
AND AFTER INSTALLING THE BATTERY IN THE
MOUNT/HELICOPTER YOU MUST BE CAREFUL
TO ENSURE PROPER POLARITY BEFORE
CONNECTING IT TO THE 4IN1 CONTROL UNIT.
By orienting/aligning the wire leads of the
battery and control uni t so they’re ‘red to red’
and ‘black to black’ you’ll be ableto make the
connection with correct polarity. Also, before
making the connection check to be sure the
ON/OFF switch located on the bottom of the
helicopterissettotheOFFposition.
Also,althoughthe‘MicroA’connectorsare‘keyed’tominimizetheriskofareversepolarity
connection,ifyouforcethemitispossibletomakeconnectionwithincorrect/reverse dpolarity
potentiallycausingdamagetothecontrol
unitand/orbattery.Whentheconnectorsareproperly
alignedforcorrectpolarity,connectingthemshouldrequireonlyaminimalamountofpressureto
achievethelight‘click’thatindicatessecureconnection.
