Whentransportingortemporarilystoringthebattery,thetemperaturerangeshouldbe
fromapproximately40–100°F.Donotstorethebatteryormodelinahotgarage,caror
directsunlightwheneverpossible.Ifstoredinahotgarageorcarthebatterycanbe
damagedorevencatchfire.
Donotover‐dischargetheLiPoflightbattery.DischargingtheLiPoflightbatterytoolow
cancausedamagetothebatteryresultinginreducedpower,flightdurationorfailureof
thebatteryentirely.
LiPocellsshouldnotbedischargedtobelow3.0Veachunderload.Inthecaseofthe
1‐cell/1S3.7VLiPobatteryusedtopowertheChronosCX100youwillnotwanttoallow
thebatterytofallbelow3.0Vduringflight.
The4‐in‐1controlunitfeaturesalowvoltagecutoff(LVC)thatcutspowertothemotors
completely(regardlessofthepowerlevelyouhavesetwiththeleft‐hand/throttlestick)
ifthevoltageofthebatteryfallsbelowthe3.0Vminimum.IftheLVCeveroccursitwill
beindicatedbyablinkingredLEDonthecontrolunit(theLEDmountedinthecanopy
willalsoblink).However,topreventanunexpectedlossofpowerduetotriggeringthe
LVC,ifyoueverfindthatmorethanthetypicalamountofthrottle/powerisrequiredto
hoverand/orthehelicopterwillnotascend/climbevenatfullpoweryoushouldland
themodelandturnitoffimmediatelytopreventover‐discharge.
AndwhileitispossibletopowerthemodelupandflyagainaftertheLVCoccursthisis
NOTrecommended.ContinueddischargingcancausepermanentdamagetotheLiPo
batteryresultinginreducedpoweroutputand/orshortenedflightdurationsduring
subsequentflights(orfailureofthebatteryentirely).
Also,itisnotrecommendedthatyouflytotheLVCeverytimeyoufly.Insteadyou
shouldbeawareofthepowerlevelofthebattery/helicopterthroughouttheflight,and
ifatanytimethehelicopterbeginstorequiremore throttle/powerthantypicalto
maintainhover,and/orwillnotascend/climbevenatfullpower,youshouldlandthe
helicopterandturnitoffimmediately.RepeatedlydischargingthebatterytotheLVCcan
stillcausepermanentdamagetothebatterysoit’sbesttouseatimerorstop‐watchto
timethedurationofyourflightsandtostopflying
atareasonabletimebeforetheLVCis
reached.

BOARDELECTRONICSANDLEDsCONSUME.It can
sometimestakeafewhoursoreven
uptoafewdaystoover‐dischargethebatterythiswaybutdoingsowilllikelycause
permanentdamagetoorfailureofthebatteryentirely(whichisnotcoveredunder
warranty).
