Antifreeze protection
If the B6 temperature sensor (water outlet) detects a tempera-
ture below the antifreeze set temperature, the unit is blocked
and in a state of alarm (manual reset). Simultaneously, the
protecting heaters of the plate heat exchanger (output N11)
are connected. If the unit includes a hydro kit, the accumulator
tank protection heaters will also be activated.
Said heaters will turn off when the D6 sensor detects a
temperature equal to the antifreeze temperature, plus a
preestablished differential.
The antifreeze system will operate despite the status and
mode of the unit.
Antifreeze protection can also include start-up of the pump
and unit (see parameters in the "Antifreeze" menu).
Backup heater
If following a preestablished time period after unit start-up in
heat mode the water outlet temperature detected by B6 does
not reach the minimum value, backup heater output (N12)
is activated. Once the water temperature has reached said
value, plus a preestablished differential, said output will be
deactivated (see parameters in the "Antifreeze" menu).
Remote ON/OFF
A digital ON/OFF remote input can be installed between
terminals ID3-G0, and enabled with the corresponding pa-
rameters of menu "H - unit config.".
If the contact is open, the unit will remain OFF. If said contact
is closed, the unit will be ON.
If the unit is OFF due to said digital input, a message appears
on the display indicating same.
The unit will remain OFF whenever any of its inputs -user
keyboard, digital or monitoring input- are in OFF.
Remote COOL/HEAT
A digital COOL/HEAT remote input can be installed between
terminals ID15-G0, and enabled with the corresponding
parameters of menu "H ".
If the contact is open, the unit will remain HEAT. If said contact
is closed, the unit will be in COOL.
If the digital COOL/HEAT input is enabled, said selection
cannot be made from the user or monitoring keyboard.
To change the cycle, either from the digital input, the user key-
board or the monitoring keyboard, the unit must be OFF.
If the COOL/HEAT digital input has not been enabled, said
function can be carried out indifferently from the user or
monitoring keyboards.
Second pump
A second pump can be enabled by means of the "H-unit con-
fig." menu. To do this, install the connector (pump 230-150)
between terminals N8-N, and the corresponding protector
(contact NC) between terminals Dl18-G0.
This second pump will be in operation alternatively with
the first pump, taking into account the number of operating
hours or start-up cycles. In the case of a protector failure of
one of the two pumps, the available pump will activate im-
mediately.
Download key
The central µC3 module has a connector (J11) for connection
of a download key (PSOPZKEYAO) with the unit operational
program.
Serial connection for monitoring
Controller µC3 allows connecting to a monitoring system us-
ing an RS485 serial plate. By means of menu "H-unit config."
it is possible to configure and enable this function. The system
has two monitoring protocols: Carel and Modbus.
AUTO-RESTART
When the unit is turned off by a power shortage, and once
same is restored, the unit retains the same operating mode
and status that was present before the shortage.
Alarm system
When an alarm is generated, the red key on the left upper
corner of the user keyboard-display goes on.
Pressing this key, the cause of the alarm appears on the
display. Then, press the "Up" or "Down" keys to check for
further causes of the failure, which will appear on the display
successively.
When the alarms are of automatic reset, unit operation is
restored once the causes of the alarm have disappeared. If
the failure is of manual reset, and once the cause of same
has disappeared, the "Alarm" key must be pressed to restore
unit operation. Then press the "Esc" key to return to the initial
display.
