processor, an additional equalizer, or a compressor/limiter into
the main stereo signal path. Connect cables from the L and
R Post-EQ OUT (or Pre-EQ OUT) to the devices input jacks
and then from the device’s output jacks to the PM2012 Power
AMP A IN and Power AMP B IN jacks.
You can connect another mixer to the PM2012 power
amplifier through the Power AMP A IN and Power AMP B IN
jacks. This slaves the amplifier to the other mixers signals;
it no longer receives the built-in mixer’s signals which means
that you could use the built-in mixer to do a totally separate
mixing job. For example, you could patch the PM2012 L and
R Pre-EQ OUT (or Post-EQ OUT) to inputs on another mixer
connected to other amplifiers driving a PA speaker system while using the PM2012’s A and B
amps to power control room speakers.
35. L&R Inserts
The L&R Insert ¼-inch TRS (stereo) jacks each acting as a send and a return (Tip=send,
Ring=return) to permit patching EQ, compressor/limiter, etc. directly into the main mix
outputs using Yinsert cables such as the Apex A210SPY or A210SXY.
36. Media In
The Media In L&R RCA jacks go to the Media In master, which feeds the main buss
(post Master) and can be used to connect the output of a second mixer or program
source. Use balanced or unbalanced cables.
37. Media Out
The Media Out L&R RCA jacks are controlled by the Media Out master control. This is
the main mix and can be connected to the input of another mixer or recording medium
using balanced or unbalanced cables.
38. Mono Out
The Mono Out provides a main mix output regulated by the Mono Out Master con-
trol which is ideally suited for connecting a subwoofer amplifier. Use a balanced or
unbalanced cable.
39. Monitor Out
The Mon 1 & Mon 2 ¼-inch outputs are controlled by their respective Mon Send master
controls. Use balanced or unbalanced cables.
40. Phantom Power Active LED
The Phantom Power Active LED indicates that phantom power is available on all Mic
inputs. The Phantom +48V switch is located on the same back panel as the AC switch
and cable socket.
Note: phantom power will not interfere with the performance of most dynamic mics.
41. Headphones Level Control and Output Jack
The level control regulates the output of the headphone amplifier. The headphone
output jack is located on the front of the mixer beside the Phantom +48V switch. The
headphone program originates from the main L/R buss unless a solo is active in which
case it originates from the Solo bus.
