Warning, Caution, and Note Statements
Warning, Caution, and Note statements are used throughout this manual prior to operating or
maintenance procedures, practices, or conditions considered essential to the protection of personnel or
equipment and property. A Warning, Caution, or Note will apply each time the related step is repeated.
Prior to starting any task, the Warnings, Cautions, and Notes included in the text for that task must be
reviewed and understood.
The following definition applies to Warnings, Cautions, and Notes:
WARNING
A warning statement is used to emphasize operating procedures, practices, etc. which
could result in servere personal injury of loss of life if not followed correctly.
CAUTION
A caution statement is used to emphasize operating procedures, practices, etc., which
could result in minor or moderate injury to the user and/or damange to or destruction
of equipment if not followed correctly.
NOTE
A note statement is used to highlight procedures, events, or practices which are
desirable or essential for efficient operations.
