The high pressure insulated air duct is made
of a reinforced aluminized trilaminate spirally
wound and mechanically locked together by a
corrosive resistant galvanized steel helix. The
core is covered with thick fiberglass insulation,
and sleeved by a flame retardant, scrim foil
mylar sleeve. The reinforced metallized vapour
barrierimproves puncture resistance and overall
duct strength.This high pressure ULC-S110 and
UL-181 Class 1 product is excellent for most
HVAC systems.
Suggested Specification
Flexible duct shall be Fabriflex
™
Type 3M by
Flexmaster. It will be constructed of a reinforced
aluminized trilaminate mechanically bonded to a
corrosive resistant outside metal helix. The core will
be factory wrapped with thick fiberglass insulation
and covered by a flame retardant, scrim foil mylar
sleeve. This duct shall be listed in accordance with
UL-181specification as a Class 1 air duct.
