This high pressure insulated flexible duct consists
of a core made from fiberglass cloth with flame
retardant coating which is mechanically locked
together without adhesives by a corrosive resistant
galvanized steel helix. The core is covered with
thick fiberglass insulation and covered by a flame
retardant, scrim foil mylar sleeve. This UL-181 Class
1 product combines a rugged puncture resistant
fabric with a highly dependable insulated vapor
barrier to create a superior high pressure thermal
duct ideal for commercial or institutional HVAC use.
Suggested Specification
Flexible duct shall be Fabriflex
Type 4M by Flexmaster. It will
be constructed of fiberglass cloth with flame retardant coating
which is mechanically bonded to a corrosive resistant outside
metal helix. The core will be factory wrapped with thick
fiberglass insulation and covered by a flame retardant, scrim
foil mylar sleeve. This duct shall be listed in accordance with
UL-181specification as a Class 1 air duct.
