Fab 5T
This insulated flexible air duct is a reinforced
aluminized trilaminate, mechanically locked
together by a corrosive resistant galvanized
steel helix. The core is covered with thick
fiberglass insulation, and sleeved by a flame
retardant non toxic polyethylene vapor barrier.
This ULC-S110 product combined with a
reinforced liner and thermal attributes produce
a duct assembly ideal for energy efficient HVAC
installations.
Suggested Specification
Flexible duct shall be Fabriflex
™
Type 5T by Flexmaster.
It will be constructed of a reinforced aluminized
trilaminate which is mechanically bonded to a corrosive
resistant outside metal helix. The core will be factory
wrapped with thick fiberglass insulation and covered
by a flame retardant, non toxic polyethylene vapour
barrier. Flexible insulated duct connections will be listed
in accordance with ULC-S110 and classified as
Class 1.
For increased protection against punctures and overall
duct strength, also available with mylar vapour barrier
sleeve Fab
5M.
