APPLICATION
Z-DENS is a ULC-S636 listed polypropylene gas venting
system suitable for venting positive or negative pressure
residential and commercial gas and oil fired Category II
and IV condensing heating appliances with a maximum
continuous flue gas temperature of 230°F (110°C ).
Single Wall
Available in appliance white non UV stabilized
polypropylene and black UV stabilized polypropylene
in 2” and 3” diameters. Available in grey UV stabilized
polypropylene in 4”, 5”, 6” and 8” diameters. The
vent system is certified to zero clearance to combustible
construction. See appliance manufacturer’s instructions for
recommended clearances.
Flexible
Available in 2”, 3” and 4” diameters. Designed for vertical
chimney or chase flue system installations but is safe to
run at an angle up to 45° from vertical. The vent system
is certified to zero clearance to combustible construction.

Concentric
Available in 2”/4”, 3”/5”, and 4”/6” concentric
diameters. The vent system is certified to zero clearance
to combustible construction. See appliance manufacturer’s
instructions for recommended clearances.
CONSTRUCTION
The flue is manufactured from polypropylene. Polypropylene
has excellent resistance to corrosive condensate from gas
and oil fired condensing heating appliances, is fire retardant
and is certified for a maximum flue gas temperature of 230°F
(110°C). Polypropylene is resistant up to a maximum flue gas
temperature of 248°F (120°C). The unique built-in gasket
system provides air and water tight connections with no
primers, glues or sealant and is leakage tested to 20” W.C.
MATERIAL SPECIFICATION
FIRE RETARDANT POLYPROPYLENE AND UV STABILIZED
WHERE SPECIFIED.
SEALING SYSTEM
Z-DENS components are supplied with factory installed,
self-sealing gaskets. The gaskets special design along with
precision engineered close tolerance construction ensure a
reliable air and water tight seal which is tested to 20” W.C.
APPROVAL
Z-DENS is listed by Intertek to ULC-S636 Type BH Venting
System to Class IIC with a maximum flue gas temperature of
230°F (110°C) and certified to zero clearance to combustible
construction. Spec ID 35440 and 35498 (Concentric).
Please note: Different manufacturers have different joint systems
and adhesives. Do not mix pipe, fittings or joining methods
from different manufacturers without an approved adapter, as
doing so will void any and all warranties.
