INSTALLATION AND SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
FOR YOUR SAFETY WARNING
BE SURE THE ELECTRICITY TO THE WIRES YOU ARE
WORKING ON IS SHUT OFF; EITHER THE FUSE IS REMOVED
OR THE CIRCUIT BREAKER IS SHUT OFF.
GENERAL
You don’t need special tools to install this fixture. Be sure to follow
the steps in the order given. Under no circumstances should a
fixture be hung on house electrical wires, nor should a swag type
fixture be installed on a ceiling, which contains a radiant type
heating system. Read instructions carefully. If you are unclear as to
how to proceed, consult a qualified electrician.
NOTE: Proper wiring is essential for the safe operation of this
fixture.
FIXTURE ASSEMBLY
Carefully removed the fixture from the carton and check that all
parts are included as shown in figure. Be careful not to misplace
any of the screws or parts, which are needed to install this fixture.
INSTALLATION
IMPORTANT: Do not attach fixture directly to outlet box.
STEP 1: Attach Mounting Screws, Lock
Washers and Hex Nuts to Crossbar
A. Line up a set of holes on the mounting plate (A) and Holes on
the backplate of the Fixture Body (G).
B. Thread Mounting Screws (B) into the holes on the
Crossbar (A), pass Lock Washers (C) and thread Hex
Nut (D) onto the Mounting Screws (B). Hand tighten
until snug
STEP 2: Attach Crossbar to Outlet Box
A. Attach the mounting plate (A) to Outlet Box and secure by
threading Outlet Box Screws (not supplied) into the
Mounting Holes on the Outlet Box. Tighten until snug
.
STEP 3: Wire Connections
A. Wrap bare or green ground wire around green ground
screw on the crossbar, no less than 2 inches from the end
of the wire. Tighten the green ground screw.
B. Use standard wire connectors (not included) to make all
wire connections. Twist connectors until wires are tightly
joined together. Wrap each connection with approved
electrical tape and carefully stuff all the connected wires
into the Outlet Box,and then take the wiring cap(F) trap the tail of
all wire.
STEP 4: Attach Fixture Body to Mounting Screw
A. Place the backplate of the Fixture Body (G) over the Mounting
Screws (B) and secure with Mounting Balls (E). Hand tighten until
snug.
STEP 5:Install Bulb
A. Insert the bulb onto the socket and screw snugly into place.
STEP 6: Apply Silicone Sealer to Mounting Balls
A. To prevent moisture from entering the wire
compartment, apply a small amount of silicone sealer
(not included) to the threaded side of the mounting
balls (E) and then install them onto the mounting
screws (B). Wipe off excess caulk.
STEP 7: Apply Silicone Sealer to Backplate
A. Make sure exterior wall surface and fixture backplate
are free of dirt before applying caulk. Using exterior
grade caulk, start on one side of fixture backplate and
follow contour, where the fixture backplate meets the
exterior wall surface upward. Proceed to caulk over top
of backplate and down other side. Do not caulk bottom
of fixture backplate to ensure proper moisture
drainage.
Your fixture is now assembled and ready to use.

CLEANING
To clean, wipe fixture with a soft cloth. Clean glass with a mild soap.
Do not use abrasive materials such as scouring pads or
powders, steel wool or abrasive paper.
