Operating Guide
PRODUCT INFORMATION:
Read this information before proceeding. It is the user’s responsibility to take the following precautions
at all times.
• Do not use in any potentially windy or rainy weather. Wind and rain can damage your canopy and
may also result in injury to you or others. Therefore, do not rely on canopy for protection in heavy
or prolonged rain storms.
• This product is designed as a temporary sun canopy. Do not leave up for extended periods.
• Always stake or weigh down your canopy.
• Use caution when handling the canopy’s frame. Avoid pinching hands or fingers as frame opens or closes.
• Do not use canopy in a lightning storm.
• Do not leave your canopy unattended.
• Do not build fires under canopy.
PRODUCT CARE & MAINTENANCE:
For long lasting durability and the best possible protection for your canopy, follow these care &
maintenance instructions:
• Use a mild soap (not detergent) and plenty of water for top cleaning.
• Let the canopy top and frame dry completely before closing or storing to avoid mildew.
• The canopy frame will operate and look better if occasionally wiped with silicone spray, especially
before and after use in damp conditions. Remove excess silicone residue before attaching top.
• Slightly tighten bolts if frame becomes loose.
LIMITED WARRANTY
Z-Shade Co. Ltd., manufacturer of the product, warrants to the original purchaser who
provides a dated sales receipt from an Authorized Dealer, each part of the Z-Shade product
to be free from defects in material or workmanship for a period of one (1) year after the
date of original purchase. The frame is covered under a limited one (1) year warranty and
guarantees the frame to be free from defects in material or workmanship. This warranty
applies only for normal and expected uses, as determined by the manufacturer.
Z-Shade Co. Ltd. obligation and liability under this warranty is limited to the replacement of
the product or its parts, after a review and examination of a submitted warranty claim.
Do not dispose of the shelter or any part of a shelter while claim is under review.

CONDITIONS: This warranty shall be void as to any product which has been altered or
modified in any manner. This warranty does not apply to damages caused by wind, rain,
or other forces of nature, not to accidental or deliberate damage of the product, nor to
use of the product that does not conform with the product instructions.
This warranty is provided in lieu of all other warranties, expressed or implied.

outer legs, slightly lift off the
ground, and step backwards
- stopping at full arms’

With partner on opposite side of canopy, place
your Z-Shade frame in the center of area to be
shaded. Grasp outer legs, lift off the ground, and
step backwards - stopping at full arms’ length.

Unfold the polyester top
and place it over the
open frame.

Secure the polyester top to
the frame by attaching the
locking strips on the top
with the locking strips on
the frame. Fully pull the
corners down.

Engage pull pin slider at
each corner by pushing up
on slider with one hand
while holding down on top
of leg with other hand.
Pull pin will engage in hole.
Repeat on opposite legs.

With partner, lift outer legs
up and slide out the inner
legs until the snap button
locks into outer legs.
Repeat on opposite legs.

TAKE DOWN
With partner, slightly lift outer
legs up, depress snap button to
unlock and telescope inner legs
into outer legs.
Repeat on opposite legs.

Grasp the top and bottom of
the truss on opposite sides.
Slightly lift canopy up and
PULL hands apart while
stepping towards your partner
until canopy is 3/4 closed.

side, grasp top and
bottom area of trusses.

stepping towards your
partner until canopy is
3/4 closed. With each
partner grasping two outer
legs, push frame together
to fully close it.
Be careful not to pinch
fingers!
Store canopy in carry bag.
Release pull pin at each corner
by first lifting fabric away from
slider. With one hand push up
on truss near the pull pin,
pull pin to release.
NOTE: It is much easier to release
pull pin when the canopy weight
has been removed from the pull pin.

Grasp the top and bottom of the truss on

PUSH hands together while stepping
backwards until canopy is fully opened.
Be careful not to pinch fingers or push too
hard so as to avoid damage to truss.
