Cover Assembly Instructions To enable normal cover opening, the rear edge of the top must be at a minimum distance from the wall as indicated in (fig. 5). Mounting the cover The following operations should be accomplished when mounting the cover: fig. 5 a) position the right and left cover supports at the distances indicated in fig. 6 and fix them with the supplied screws.
1} Remounting the cover journals Remove the cover from the side supports (fig. 8) after remounting the right and left fixing journals. Rotate the journal to release it from the cover hinge while extracting it by pulling it outwards (fig. 9). It is advisable to use a 5 mm. wrench in order to overcome the force developed by the spring during journal rotation.
Important: For a correct distribution of torsion spring force, the pressure governess must be equidistant from the ends of the springs itself. Use the appropriate rings to lock them in their position. 3) Remounting the regulation unit When mounting the regulation unit, take into account that: a) the torsion spring must be parallel positioned to the cover (fig. 11} b) The pressure governess must be inserted on the spring and rear cover hinge (fig. 12).
It is necessary to rotate the journal itself until the stop is brought in correspondence to the hinge joint (fig. 14) in order to be able to completely insert the journal in the rear cover hinge. The joint between the journal and cover hinge is locked by the counter-force of the tension spring. The control protection, made of bright aluminum, which is supplied together with the lid supports, must be fixed inside the two “A” blocks on the left side of the patrol panel (fig. 135). fig.
Operating Instructions The control panel located to the right hand side of the hob has a visual representation of four plates by each of the four control knobs to indicate which plate the knob controls. To activate any of the plates turn the appropriate control knob clockwise from the zero position to the desired heat setting. To switch off, turn the control knob anticlockwise to the zero position.
Operating the hob There are two types ol controls on the control panel. The control knobs for the normal plates have 6 heat setting and the control knobs for the thermostatic plates have 12 thermostatically regulated heat settings, Rapid and Normal plate control For successful cooking, depending on the dish and quantity, it is advisable to turn on the normal plates to the fast setting (see figure 17) for a short while to boost the plate and them manually turn down to the correct setting.
Use of the hob To obtain the best cooking results from your hob there are a few basic rules to follow when cooking or preparing to cook. Firstly use pans with a level even base as this ensures full contact of the bottom of the pan to the cooking plate (fig. 18). Secondly, use pans with a large enough diameter to completely cover the cooking plate as this ensures the most efficient use of the heat (fig. 19).
Care and Cleaning To ensure the best results from your hob and to prolong its good looks regular cleaning and maintenance is essential. Cleaning and maintenance should only be carried out when the hob is cool.
