DESCRIPTION OF THE APPLIANCE Electrical connections Any electrical work required to install this appliance should be carried out by a qualified electrician or competent person. INSTALLATION OPERATION Please ensure that when the appliance is installed it is easily accessible for the engineer in the event of a breakdown. Before using Remove all securing tapes. Wash inside the appliance with lukewarm water and bicarbonate of soda (5 ml to 0.5 litre of water). Do not use soap or detergent as the smell may linger. Dry thoroughly.
Fresh food refrigeration Important Do not put carbonated liquids, (fizzy drinks etc.), in the freezer compartment. Ice lollies, if consumed immediately after removal from the freezer, can cause low temperature skin burns. Do not remove items from the freezer if your hands are damp/wet, as this could cause skin abrasions or “frost/freezer burns”. Thawing Frozen food, prior to being used, can be thawed in the fridge or at room temperature depending on the time available.
GUARANTEE CONDITIONS Movable shelves Standard guarantee conditions The walls of the refrigerator have runners so that shelves can be positioned as desired.
During a normal night time period of approximately 8 hours a traditional fridge freezer can normally maintain the frozen food temperature but if the appliance is left for longer period in a low ambient temperature the freezer will defrost . Cool Check Guide The guide consists of a temperature sensitive strip sealed in a shelf trim. If, after the above checks, there is still a fault, call your local Service Force Centre.
SOMETHING NOT WORKING HINTS AND TIPS Important: If you call out an engineer to a fault listed below, or to repair a fault caused by incorrect use or installation a charge will be made, even if the appliance is under guarantee. MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING Before any maintenance or cleaning work is carried out, DISCONNECT the appliance from the ELECTRICITY supply. Changing the light bulb Internal cleaning External cleaning Many proprietary kitchen surface cleaners contain chemicals that can attack/damage the plastics used in this appliance. For this reason it is recommended that the outer casing of this appliance is only cleaned with warm water with a little washing-up liquid added.
