Fast-freezing For fast-freezing, push the fast freeze switch (D). The super control light (C) will then light up. This function can be ended manually at any time by pressing the fast freeze switch again.
Use of the refrigerator Normal Operating Sounds The thermostat regulates for both freezer and refrigerator compartments. • You may hear faint gurgling or bubbling sounds when the refrigerant is pumped through the coils or tubing at the rear, to the cooling plate/evaporator or to the fixed freezer shelves. • When the compressor is on, the refrigerant is being pumped round, and you will hear a whirring sound or pulsating noise from the compressor.
Movable shelves The walls of the refrigerator have runners so that the shelves can be positioned as desired . For better use of space, the front half-shelves can lie over the rear ones. D338 Bottle rack Place bottles in the rack with the bottleneck to the front. Important: Only store unopened bottles horizontally. The bottle rack can be tilted for storing opened bottles. To do this pull the bottle rack forward until it can be tilted upwards, then slide the front support into the next level up.
HINTS AND TIPS Food Storage • To obtain the best results from your appliance, neither hot foods nor liquids which may evaporate, should be placed in the larder compartment. Try to avoid keeping the door open for long periods, or opening the door too frequently as warm air will enter the cabinet, and cause the compressor to switch on unnecessarily often. • • Keep the time between buying chilled food and placing it in your fridge as short as possible.
