Uso del frigorifero
Funzionamento
introdurre la spina nella presa di

Aprire la porta del frigorifero e ruotare
a manopola del termostato, collocata in

Regolazione della temperatura
i,a regolazione della temperatura si
)ttiene ruotando la manopola del
termostato in senso orario fino a farne
coincidere l’indice con la posizione
iesiderata. La posizione intermedia
iella scala è generalmente la più adatta.

scala di regolazione, a seconda del
tipo di apparecchiatura, è graduata con
ma numerazione oppure con una
jerigrafia a tratto:
lel caso della graduazione numerica la
iosizione di minimo freddo si ottiene al
1. 1 e quella di massimo freddo al n. 7;
lel caso della graduazione con
terigrafia a tratto, la posizione di
ninimo freddo si ottiene nel tratto
iiscontinuo aH’inizio e massimo freddo
lel tratto più marcato e continuo al
termine della scala.

conto che la temperatura ottenuta
ill’intemo del refrigeratore dipende da
iiversi fattori, quali la temperatura
imbiente, la frequenza di apertura della
3orta, la quantità di alimenti e la
collocazione dell’apparecchiatura stessa.
L,a temperatura aumenta (meno freddo)
notando la manopola del termostato in
censo antiorario ' hminuisce (più
reddo) ruotandola in senso orario.

Attenzione
Nei frigoriferi provvisti di scomparto
evaporatore a due stelle la
temperatura nella parte inferiore
(refrigeratore) può essere variata, oltre
che dal termostato, agendo sul
convogliatore posto sotto lo scomparto
stesso.
Nei modelli con il convogliatore munito di
deflettore: per avere più freddo
spostare alÌ’interno il deflettore, per
avere meno freddo spostarlo invece
verso l’esterno.
Nei modelli con il convogliatore senza
deflettore: per avere meno freddo
sollevare leggermente il convogliatore e
spingerlo a fondo, per avere maggior
freddo riportarlo nella posizione
iniziale.
Nei frigoriferi provvisti di scomparto
SHI e c:a***i quando il termostato è
regolato sulla posizione di massimo
freddo, con temperatura ambiente
elevata ed una notevole quantità di
alimenti, il compressore funziona
continuamente. Si ha così la formazione
di ghiaccio sull’evaporatore del
refrigeratore. Per evitare questo
inconveniente, ruotare la manopola del
termostato su una posizione di minor
freddo.
Refrigerazione dei cibi
Lo scomparto refrigeratore è adatto
alla refrigerazione delle bevande e alla
conservazione normale dei cibi.
Per ottenere le migliori prestazioni è
necessario: non introdurre vivande
calde 0 liquidi in evaporazione, coprire
0 avvolgere gli alimenti (specie se
contengono aromi), non disporre sulle
griglie carte, cartoncini o plastiche che
ostacolino la circolazione dell’aria
attraverso le griglie stesse.
Per un corretto uso diamo alcuni
consigli pratici in merito:
cibi cotti, piatti freddi, gelatine ecc.:
devono essere conservati ben coperti e
possono essere posti s;' Ualsiasi griglia
del frigorifero;
b. Pushbutton defrosting:
push the button at the center of the
thermostat knob.
When defrosting is completed,
operation is resumed automatically.
After defrosting, remove the water
collected in the tray underneath the
evaporator and thoroughly dry the latter.
Important
Defrosting should be done when there
is no food in the freezer.
Refrigerators with 3-star (***) or 4-star
M***i symbols and cyclic refrigerators.
Frost is automatically eliminated from
the evaporator of the refrigerator
compartment every time the motor-
driven compressor stops.
The defrost water drains out through a
trough into a special container on the
back of the appliance where it evaporates.
In the freezer compartment, instead,
when the ice covering the refrigerated
surfaces becomes too thick (i.e. approx.
5 mm), it should be chipped off either
with the special plastic scraper that
comes with the appliance or with a
suitable brush which should not be too
hard.
During this operation it is not necessary
to cut off the power or to remove the
food from the refrigerator compartment.
If, on the other hand, an excessively
thick layer of ice has been allowed to
build up, complete defrosting should be
carried out.
We suggest you carry out this
operation when there is no food left in
the compartment to be defrosted.
Complete defrosting of the freezer
compartment should be done as
follows:
Turn the thermostat knob to position
«•» or pull out the plug from the wall
socket;
Wrap frozen foods in several layers of
newspaper and place them in a cool
place or in the refrigerator
compartment in case of 4-star
models;
Leave the door open and, to accelerate
defrosting, place a bowl of hot water
inside the freezer compartment (with a
piece of carboard underneath as a
protection);
Soak up the water that has dripped to
the bottom with a sponge and dry the
whole freezer compartment thoroughly;
Turn the thermostat knob back to the
required setting or replace the plug in
the socket. After letting it run for two
or three hours, the appliance is ready
again for storing frozen foods.
Important
In the models having the freezer
compartment at the bottom, the defrost
water from this compartment can be
collected by placing a suitable tray
under the gutter to be found at the
door.
A small flexible pipe supplied with
these models can be used as a gutter
extension to help collect the defrost
water.
The defrost water drain opening,
located at the center of the special
conveyor of the refrigerator
compartment, should be cleaned at
regular intervals in order to prevent
the defrost water from overflowing and
dripping onto the food stored in this
compartment.
Never use sharp metal tools to scrape
off frost or to detach ice cube trays
from the evaporator as you could
thereby damage it beyond repair.
Ice Cube Trays
Refrigerators with 2-star (Si, 3-star (5S)
& 4-star c:a***i symbols feature one or
more ice cube trays.
These trays should be filled with
drinking water and then placed in the
freezer compartment or in the
evaporator compartment, whichever the
case may be.
