Fader Assign Matrix
This matrix controls which inputs are assigned to the six hardware faders.
Because Nomad is a digital mixer, no actual audio is going through the Nomad Fader controls allowing for complete
flexibility for the mixing hardware faders. Any one of the analog inputs 1-8, digital inputs 1-8, analog trim controls or
ZaxNet trim can be routed to any hardware fader.
Setting a Cross point
Rotate the MENU knob to scroll through the matrix. Stop in the matrix, at the intersection of the input channel and
output channel, where you want to send that specific input. Press the MENU knob to cycle through the available cross
points, which are:
Blank no connection
AAssign an analog input to a fader
DAssign a digital input to a fader
TTrim where the fader knob will work as a hardware trim knob
Z – Assigns the fader to control the trim of a Zaxcom wireless transmitter
NOTE: Assigning a “Z” can only be done when ZaxNet is in transmit mode
NOTE: To have access to the “T” Trim or “ZZaxNet, press the Star key on the front panel when in this matrix.
That will add the T and Z to the cycle.
NOTE: If you are using a multiple-element mic (i.e., stereo, surround, etc.) and you assign all of the channels to
one master fader you need to disable the AutoTrim
TM
function.
