Th is menu is u se d to set the operating mo des of the Nomad. Sample rate,
transport contr ol. GP I remote record ing control, sl at e microphone source, pre-
r ec ord time, auto trim control, I/O configuration, Mix 8 ex te rn al fader enable
an d PAN menu r out ing controls are all found in the mode menu.
The
Pa n routing enables and selects which pair of o utp uts will be assigned to th e
two channel ENG pan routing feature. This mode would most likely be used
when sending two channels of audio to be recorded direct ly to camera. When
selected each pan pair will
ac t as a left/righ t output pair. Example: if pan 1/2 is
selected output bus 1 will be the left out and output bus 2 will be the rig ht out .

The fa ctory defau lt is se t up that so that N om ad can handle one pair of AES
input s. If more than one pair of AES input s is required, than the Input
conf i gur ation must be changed in o rder to make the AES additional resour ce s
available. The
I/O co nfigura ti on me nu is used to sele ct be tween A ES inputs and
other nomad resour ces. Simply put for Nomads pro ce ssors to handle the
additio na l AES c ha nnels then other input items may need to be deactivated.

you. To access
the I/O configuration menu, en ter the main men u, select the
mode
menu, and then select th e I/O menu. The I/O configuration will not be
altered
after a facto ry re set of Nomad.
