EN Precautionary Guidelines • Always mount the engine securely on a bench mount or high-quality engine mount. • Always use the correct size and pitch of propeller for your engine. Refer to the Propeller Chart in this manual. • Always confirm proper balance of your propeller prior to installation of the engine. Failure to do so could result in damage to the engine and/or airframe. • Always utilize an electric starter to start your engine.

It is important that you read the engine manual before starting the engine for the first time.
EN Engine Cooling Requirements It is very important to consider adequate cooling inside the airplane cowl. Engines require a cooling airflow exhaust:intake ratio of 3:1 to 5:1. A large open cowl may lead you to believe there is adequate cooling; however, you must make sure air is flowing through the cowl and the cylinder head fins. Achieving the proper ratio typically requires either enlarging the air exit or cowl and/or engine baffles to reduce the open intake area. 1.
EN Checking for a Flooded Cylinder It is possible in an inverted installation for the cylinder to gather excess fuel or oil during the priming process or while the engine is in storage. Before beginning the starting process, be sure to: 1. R otate the propeller by hand. During the rotation, if you encounter a point where there is serious resistance to the rotation, STOP. This is an indication of a flooded cylinder and what you are feeling is hydraulic lock.
EN High-Speed Needle Tuning Once the engine is running reliably at full (open) throttle: 1. Turn the high-speed needle clockwise 1/16 of a turn at a time. 2. Wait 2–3 seconds for the engine to respond. a. I f there is an increase in RPM: Turn the high-speed needle clockwise an additional 1/16 turn and wait for the engine to respond to the tuning change. If there is no increase in RPM after the change, turn the high-speed needle back to its previous position. b.

DE Anforderungen an die Motorkühlung Es ist sehr wichtig für eine ausreichende Motorkühlung unter der Motorhaube zu sorgen. Motoren benötigen zur effektiven Kühlung ein Einlass/Auslass Verhältnis von 3:1 bis 5:1. Eine große Motorhaube kann Sie zur Annahme verleiten, dass eine adäquate Kühlung vorliegt, Sie müssen aber sicherstellen dass der Luftstrom die Zylinderkühlrippen erreicht. Das vernünftige Verhältniss erreichen Sie durch vergrößern des Lufteinlasses oder durch den Einbau von Luftleitblechen. 1.
DE Überprüfen auf einen gefluteten Zylinders Wird der Motor hängend montiert ist es möglich, dass sich dort überschüssiger Kraftstoff durch Lagerung oder bei dem Primen sammelt. Überprüfen Sie bitte vor dem Start folgendes: 1. D rehen Sie den Propeller per Hand. Sollten Sie bei drehen einen Punkt mit nennenswerten Wiederstand fühlen STOPPEN Sie. Das ist ein Indikator für einen gefluteten Zylinder. Jeder weitere Versuch den Motor durchzudrehen kann zur Beschädigung des Zylinders und Pleuels führen. 2.
DE Einstellung der Vollgasnadel Läuft der Motor sauber auf Vollgas: 1. D rehen Sie die Vollgasnadel im Uhrzeigersinn 1/16 Umdrehung. 2. Warten sie 2 -3 Sekunden bis der Motor reagiert. a. N immt die Drehzahl zu: Drehen Sie die Vollgasnadel zusätzliche 1/16 und warten bis der Motor reagiert. Sollte die Drehzahl nicht weiter zu nehmen, drehen Sie Vollgasnadel zurück in die vorherige Position. b.
DE Wartung Es gibt einige Dinge die beachten und durchzuführen sind um den einwandfreien Betrieb ihres ZP Motors zu gewährleisten.

Ce manuel fournit toutes les informations concernant l’installation, le choix de l’hélice, le choix du carburant et les réglages du moteur.
FR Refroidissement du moteur Il est très important d’avoir un refroidissement adéquat à l’intérieur du capot. Les moteurs ont besoin d’une évacuation d’air d’un ratio de 3:1 à 5:1 par rapport à l’entrée. Un grand capot très ouvert vous laisse penser que le refroidissement est adéquat; cependant vous devez vous assurer que le flux d’air passe bien par les ailettes de culasses.
FR Contrôle d’un cylindre noyé Il est possible qu’en montage inversé le cylindre se noie durant le stockage ou l’amorçage à cause d’un excès de carburant accumulé. Effectuez les vérifications suivantes avec d’effectuer le démarrage du moteur: 1. Tournez l’hélice avec votre main. Si durant la rotation vous sentez un point dur qui oppose une sérieuse résistance, STOP. Cela signifie que le cylindre est noyé, vous sentez un blocage hydraulique.
FR Réglage du pointeau haute vitesse Une fois que le moteur fonctionne correctement à haut régime: 1. Serrez le pointeau par incrément de 1/16eme de tour. 2. Patientez 2-3secondes pour laisser le moteur répondre. a. S ’il y a une augmentation de régime: Serrez une fois de plus d’1/16eme de tour le pointeau haute vitesse et attendez la réponse du moteur. S’il n’y a pas de variation de régime après ce changement, revenez au réglage précédent. b.

FR Garantie et réparations Durée de la garantie - Garantie exclusive - Horizon Hobby, Inc. IT • Non tenere oggetti liberi infilati nel taschino, come cacciaviti o penne, quando si lavora intorno al motore. IT INTRODUZIONE Grazie per aver acquistato un motore a benzina ZP, uno dei motori più affidabili nel mercato di oggi. Horizon Hobby si impegna a farvi avere delle esperienze positive ed un lungo funzionamento del vostro nuovo motore. E’ importante per voi leggere il manuale di istruzione del motore prima di azionarlo per la prima volta.
IT REQUISITI DI RAFFREDDAMENTO DEL MOTORE E’ molto importante considerare un adeguato raffreddamento all’interno della cappottatura dell’aereo. Il motore necessita un rapporto di ingresso e scarico del flusso di aria da 3:1 a 5:1. Una larga cappottatura aperta può farvi pensare di avere un adeguato raffreddamento; tuttavia bisogna assicurarsi che l’aria scorra effettivamente attraverso di essa e attraverso le alette della testata.
IT Avviare il motore con il carburante necessario per quattro pieni (32 oz/1000mL) per 3–4 minuti alla volta, facendo raffreddare il motore fra le corse. Variare l’acceleratore fra il minimo e i ¾ per almeno 30 minuti funzionamento del motore. Non superare i ¾ di accelerazione durante rodaggio. Il processo di rodaggio del motore viene completato dopo quattro pieni; dopo è possibile iniziare il normale volo.
IT 4. C on il motore spento, bisogna arricchire o impoverire la miscela ruotando (come indicato nel test nella fase 3) la vite dello spillo ad alta velocità di 1/16° di giro e poi riaccendere il motore. Ruotare lo spillo dell’alta velocità in senso orario di 1/16° di giro per impoverire la miscela. 5. R ipetere le fasi 3-4 fino a quando il motore funziona in maniera affidabile con l’acceleratore (aperto) al massimo.
IT MANUTENZIONE Ci sono poche cose da fare per assicurarsi che il vostro motore a benzina ZP funzioni correttamente.
IT Durata della Garanzia Periodo di garanzia - Garanzia esclusiva - Horizon Hobby, Inc., (Horizon) garantisce che i prodotti acquistati (il “Prodotto”) sono privi di difetti relativi ai materiali e di eventuali errori di montaggio. Il periodo di garanzia è conforme alle disposizioni legali del paese nel quale il prodotto è stato acquistato. IT Riparazioni a pagamento - Se bisogna effettuare una riparazione a pagamento, effettueremo un preventivo che verrà inoltrato al vostro rivenditore. La riparazione verrà effettuata dopo l’autorizzazione da parte del vostro rivenditore. La somma per la riparazione dovrà essere pagata al vostro rivenditore. Le riparazioni a pagamento avranno un costo minimo di 30 minuti di lavoro e in fattura includeranno le spese di restituzione.
