Diablo | 19” moving light controller
Der Diablo ist ein kosteneffektiver und flexibler 19" Kontroller, der gleichzeitig für
statische Dimmerkanäle und Multifunktionsscheinwerfer einsetzbar ist. Trotz seiner
kompakten Größe bietet der Diablo ein hohes Leistungspotential und ein sehr gutes
Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Besonders für kleinere Anwendungen in Clubs, Theatern
oder Schulen, stellt der Diablo eine optimale Alternative dar.
Während der kontinuierlichen Weiterentwicklung der Frog-Software, hatte Zero 88
viele interessante Anregungen und Anfragen nach einer kompakten Steuerkonsole.
Die Philosophie und Struktur der neuen Konsole sollte an die Frog-Serie angelehnt
sein und eine übersichtliche Programmierung für viele Anwendungsgebiete möglich
machen.
Der Diablo ist die Antwort auf viele kreative Ideen unserer Kunden. Ein leistungsfä-
higer 19" Kontroller, der auch für kleinere Anwendungen eine übersichtliche
Steuerung von Multifunktionsscheinwerfern möglich macht.
Ein LC-Display dient als Herzstück und Benutzerschnittstelle im Diablo. Sechs
Funktionstasten ermöglichen eine übersichtliche und intuitive Bedienung der ver-
schiedenen Funktionen. Die komplette Menüführung, mit Programmierung der
Speicher, Wiedergabe, Setup und DMX-Adressierung, wird über die
Funktionstasten realisiert.
Bis zu 18 Multifunktionsscheinwerfer und weitere 18 HTP-Einzelkanäle können mit
dem Diablo angesteuert werden. Ein Effektgenerator bietet verschiedene
Bewegungsabläufe und ermöglicht vorprogrammierte Effekte für Farben und Gobos.
Eine komplette Geräte-Bibliothek für die verschiedenen Scheinwerfertypen, kann
mit Hilfe eines PC’s über einen USB-Anschluss geladen werden.
Es ist auch möglich, bis zu 18 unterschiedliche Scheinwerfertypen direkt im Diablo
zu erstellen und abzuspeichern. Regelmäßige Updates zu dieser Bibliothek sind auf
der Zero 88 Webseite als Download verfügbar.

The Diablo is a new, cost effective and flexible lighting controller suitable for control-
ling moving lights and generics. It is one of the easiest lighting controllers to program
and operate and is aimed at users wanting a small, powerful console. Unlike many
small controllers it is not simply for club or DJ use. The Diablo can be used in a range
of venues from small theatres, to schools, TV or clubs.
“During the ongoing development of the Frog range we had lots of feedback from
users wanting the intuitive philosophy and ease of use of the Frogs, but in a simpler
and smaller package,” explains Graham Eales. “ The Diablo is a powerful little desk,
which will bring sophisticated moving light control to a host of smaller venues.”
An LCD screen is at the heart of the Diablo. Using soft keys navigating the various
operating modes is simple and intuitive, whether you are setting the desk up, assig-
ning fixtures, patching or playing back shows.
To aid in programming the Diablo comes with an effects engine that allows for shape
generation and colour and beam effects. The Diablo provides the facility to control up
to 18 moving lights as well as 18 generic channels.
The Diablo has a comprehensive library of fixture personalities that can be loaded to
the console from a PC using a USB port. It is also possible to write fixture types direct-
ly to the console. Up to 18 different fixture personalities can be stored on the Diablo
at any one time. Regular updates to this library will be downloadable from the Zero
88 website.
